For what it’s worth. I’m in the event business and have just had the heads up that Glastonbury will not be going ahead. (No real surprise there). This pretty much means that all music events have no 2021 future. I’ m guessing most of you know that anyway but, as I said, have only just been told. Jok.

How absolutely lovely. To be fair, my time there was a bit haphazard because of being moved from Riyadh, Jeddah, Al Khobar and many other places. We also took in Kuwait City, Al Dubai, Al Ain, Fuguieria and all the rest. A spell in Oman was interesting. I’m saying too much already but suffice to say, got the tee shirt. Jok.

Interesting that. Did my bit in Saudia Arabia and indeed most of the Middle East. Spent a lot of time with the guys in Rhiyadh. Even set up my own little bar ffs. Jok.

Chartpolski. See what you’ve started my friend,. History and all the things that went on when men played in every local working men’s club in the land. They never made the grade but thoroughly enjoyed their snooker, billiards, dominoes, darts, cribbage, bar billiards, shove hapenny, a little bit of cards and a good banter. These things, sadly, have gone to pass. Sit down ther in the loveliest of NZ and (hopefully) watch a Jock win the masters. Jok.

Oh right, I thought that was relevant. Yes I’ve had my moments in club and division events, best being an 88. However, my greatest highlight was against Ken Docherty when I punched in a nice 37. He advised me to sit down and watch, which in fairness was my last shot. Heart was pumping though. Sorry if I’m stealing the thread a bit but it is conversational. Come on John. Jok.

Nice one Greb and totally agree. In my honest eyes this guy should never have been playing international snooker or even at any level. I’ve played for years and can honestly say that the need to cheat was furthermost from my mind, just winning. The ruling body exonerated him so life goes on. He is a special talent though. Jok.

View Advert Used log burner ok we have my decommissioned log burner/multi stove. I’m led to believe it’s a Villager somewhere about 6/8 kw. It’s in good working and I’m going to reblack it. The flue is out the back with the top flue changed to a hot plate. 700mm h x 600mmw. It’s available for collection only from South Derbs. Leather Britches brewery near Burton on Trent. These guys blend me a beer which as you can see (nearly) called Bespoke at 4.5abv. They sell it to me at £25 for 10 let’s and I pull it through the hand pull. Full of flavour and it doesn’t throw you about too much. Jok.

Arry. You are gifted. Must admit that the June frost not only whacked my potatoes but also my runner beans. To be honest there is no sign on any beans setting. The only really good crops so far are peas and beetroot. Don't get me wrong, other bits and bobs are doing ok but not like usual. Jok.
