  1. I took out a 17 stone county champion power lifter. Had him fast asleep in less than 10 seconds. Another one, a 6' 4" builder the same. But one tiny, scrawny, septegenarium lady who was being served with a mental health order almost had me beat. When they don't feel any pain all the Far Eastern judo, jujitsu, akedo......... moves are a waste of time and you can't smack someone's granny on the chin with mental health officers watching idly by. She gouged, bit, scratched, spat, kicked, the lot. Just like a feral cat when cornered. And then of course I had to explain to the custody sergeant
  2. Not trained for it. Self defence used to be 2 days a year and boiled down to about 4 hours actually doing it after theory, first aid safety drill and conflict resolution modules. Consider the various ways hand cuffs can be applied, leg wraps, baton strikes, gas useage and the time for hands on was minimal and confined to defensive manouvers. The self defence training is just a box ticking exercise to avoid litigation.
  3. You are getting mixed up with the States. British cops wouldn't dare use the gun for fear of some backstabbing gaffer to hang them out to dry to preserve the Force's diversity image. Knife crime is a strange beast. In my experience most knives I took off people were in two groups; the vulnerable victims of society who stupidly thought a knife would protect them from bullies, and secondly the ones who were overcome by grief, rage, drugs, alcohol or emotions and took up a knife to get attention. I didn't come across the East Europeans / Slavs / Turks who know how to use them or the black y
  4. The Taser only works if it has stuck and the wires are not disconnected. Even then it only works for a few seconds and is only really effective for people with normal reasoning. Drugs, rage and alcohol can reduce normal reasoning. Normally you only get one or two zaps before you lose power or connectivity. Batons are less than useless. They are designed not to hurt people to reduce compensation claims. Why wasn't the knife collected earlier? Because the officer collecting the knife then has to follow protocols to ensure that it can be used as evidence with the offender's dna and prints on

It is their version of the Brexit Party. Nobody would vote them in power, but the popular parties now have to take some of their policies on board to avoid losing votes. Whatever, a good result that will rock the EU heirachy.
  6. The Pyrenean Mountain Dog is reported to be making a comeback. In the mountains where shepherds still farm their sheep the traditional way there are also three protected species of mammals; ibex, mouffalon and marmots. Amid all this tranquility the re-wilding brigade have successfully released apex predators in the shape of brown (grisly) bears. The bears require 25% of their diet to be meat. They can't catch the wild mountain sheep and goats so they cause the dumb domestic sheep to stampede over cliffs then the bears climb down and eat some of them. The farmers are not surprisingly upset abo

French tv is full of it. They decapitated their own monarchy and ended up with Macron. How ironic!
  8. A few more Out Of Office photos.. . The last one is the menu outside a restaurant. The top dish is a stew of frogs, snails, eels and crayfish. We went back to the camping-car and had corned beef sarnies.

Nobody ruled the British Isles before the Romans. There were various rulers of various tribes or peoples including people from Friesland, Belgium and areas of north-west Europe in the eastern side and various Gallic people origjnating from Spain, Portugal and western France in the areas that are now Cornwall through Wales to Scotland. There were no overall rulers. Given that the Ice Age wiped out all civilisation in the British Isles 15,000 years ago everyone is a foreigner. What is in school history books has been discounted by DNA and other research.

Police have arrested Liz Truss. She was the last person to see Lizzie alive. However bookies odds are on her dieing laughing after Boris left.

  17. I find them all over the place. If there isn't a forked stick in the water's edge then it hasn't been fished in ages if ever. Going back to #keepdiggin 's post; a lot of bins have been removed by the local municipalities in recent years. It is down to the contracts with the private waste companies. Too expensive to have them empty the bins and they charge the council for any waste they collect and pass on. It will end up like the UK with fly tipping and abuse of the few bins available. I had a row with councillors at a police and public meeting when they wouldn't accept that it was their

I have my pride. I'm not going to be a sex object for some rich old widow. Anyway, I identify as being in my late 20's so maybe Club 18-30 is more my sort of thing.

No, but there is karaoke! ? This cruise line is the Butlins of the cruising world. But I bet the entertainment is a damned sight better than bingo at the care home.

That sounds like the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel sort of thing. Still, better than Ruanda.

If you are quick you can get a two week cruise in May next year. Fly out to Barcelona, two nights hotel (you can catch up with mushroom and check his scar), then cruise along the Spanish and French coasts stopping off here and there ending up in Dover for not much more than two weeks in St Peter's Close nursing home. And it won't smell of pi$$. WWW.IGLUCRUISE.COM

Sorry to hear that. If it is any help I did some calculations last week. The average cost of a care home is just less than £900 per week. Good ones cost more. For the same £900 you can get on a cruise ship run by someone like Carnival Cruises, full board, ship to shore transfers, free tea and coffee all day. Longer the cruise, cheaper the day rate.
