A breed with such a history, but that nowerdays suffers so many heath problems, what would they give to British Lurcherdom?? A few deerhound breeders sneaked them in a while back when the show trend in deerhounds was for big dogs, yes they got big dogs, big coarse and cloddy fuckers, with cardiomiopathy etc etc etc..too. f****d deerhounds up, will f**k lurchers up too.

Got a copy today...what a cracking looking book.. Not had a chance to read it, but, the images are truely outstanding, probably the best collection of lamping images seen for a long time, and quality that is not going to be equalled for a long time to come.. Any reader thinking that getting these sort of images is easy, well have a go..then, apprechiate how good they are. The book is a quality hardback Well done Mr Darcy

I wouldnt be frightened of repeating the mating, if the litter are as good as you say..at least you have evidence of what that mating can do. My fear is always when trying a dog that isnt proven, and/or using a maiden bitch, this is where breeders are taking a chance, and dog breeding shouldnt be left to chance. Good breeders dont just produce the odd good litter, the best dogbreeders do it consitently, and, if that means repeat matings, so be it. Your certainly not going to get clones of the first litter, that cannot, and dosnt happen, but hopefully you should achieve the same overall qual

Most of these lads publish themselves mate. As for images you could ask for some action shots off lads on here like Darcy has or you could find someone keen on photography to take pics of yours. You dont need all action shots anyway. Real pictures mean more even if the quality is less. I would rather see pictures included in a book because the event had something to contribute rather than look at photos of events being acted out purely to get pictures for a book...that just smells a bit plastic to me. Cheers matie..some food for thought there.. had quotes for self publishing but, a bi

We have been taking a little bitch ratting with us, very useful

63 rabbits with one dog is good going no matter where in the country caught.. Too f***ing true I dont think people actually understand what it is for a dog, and man to take that sort of number in one night..The people who do fully understand are the small number of people who have done it.. Hats off to you Tomo, and your dog..

Good picture, GREAT score

Another of the same bitch Gaz..not jumping at this point, but she did jump the fence in the background during the semi final course, while her opponant stopped at the same fence..so she clocked up loads of points, killed the hare and brought it back over the fence and dropped it at my feet. Still remember the expression of horror on the faces of those horrible deerhound folk.. "No jumping, no hares" where I come from.. Image taken before the ban, with film camera

That is the same photo I referred to earlier in this thread. Does it feature in The book working deerhounds and lurchers? Yes matie, its the same picture..
