She's got two choices! How's the pup?

Cheers folks. It's a 7x3 bike shed from bought online from shedmonkey (no affiliation to them other than a happy customer) I was looking for a bigger shed than the chicken coop they were in beforehand but didn't want a 'normal' shed with a door in the end as it wouldn't give them enough daylight and would get too hot. I saw an 8x4 with double doors on the 8'side which looked ideal but was a little expensive then stumbled on these bike sheds. I was originally going to make it with a removable partition across the middle for when / if I breed off one of my Jill's but figured

Finally got myself in gear and finished the new shed and introduced my 3 with the new pair I've taken on for a friend. One of the newcomers is being a bit of a drama queen and is screaming at my original 3 whenever any of them go anywhere near her but she has come around a bit over the last couple of hours and is settling down a bit.

I've used a cat carrier when I knew I wasnt going straight home after working them. plenty of space for 2 Jill's and a pretty big hob to move about freely.

No need to feed cat food at all. Get to pets at home, 2 x bags of their own brand dry food is 11 quid. They also do bags of minced raw meats (tripe, chicken, beef etc.) that aren't too bad either and because theybare quick frozen you can pour out however much you want.

I'm adopting a friends pair of spayed Jill's this weekend with the intention of chucking them in with my 2 whole Jill's and vas hob. Mine are 2 and the newcomers are 3 years old if that is likely to make a difference. I have a new hutch that they are all going to be going into and just wondered how best to go about it. Should I introduce all 5 into the new hutch at the same time or give the new ones a day or two to settle in then add mine one at a time? Just looking for the least stressful way of doing it for the ferrets.

Good to hear, I'm adopting a pair of spayed Jill's that belong to a friends kid as he is off to uni. I said I'd have them on the understanding that they would be going down holes a d wouldn't be just pets

I had the same problem with 2 of mine, got them young but not very well handled. Started out with gloves to keep bites at bay then went to bitter bite spray instead (got it on amazon) which soon cured them.

Mine get pigs kidneys every couple of weeks with no ill effects. It's probably the same as everything else... Feed in moderation and it'll be fine. It's a shame really as I can get a pig pluck for less than it costs me to shoot a couple of bunnies!

Can Someone Check This For Me Please?
Jax13 replied to stuartpengs's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Bolt knob can be tricky. Some. Simply unscrew off a threaded stem so they are a simple swap (might need to heat it to crack off the loctite) others are one piece so need grinding / milling then ideally threading so the replacement can be screwed on. I do not know which the Annie use though. Sorry. If your knob isn't an unscrewable one, there are slip on rubber bolt knobs on eBay for a fiver that dramatically improve the feel of a skinny or small bolt knob, especially for winter use if you wear gloves. The rail, 0moa and right handed to suit the action would be what I'd order -

How Much Interest Would There Be In New Mk1 Finders?
Jax13 replied to Jax13's topic in Ferrets & Ferreting
This has come about after a mate of mine who has a product made overseas found out how much the mk3 was! He was interested in the possibility of having something simple knocked up that could be sold for a fair bit less but obviously wanted to know of there was a market for it -
Just curiosity at the moment gents. How much interest would there be in a new mk 1 style ferret finder & collars if they were commercially available? How much would you be willing to pay? How likely would you be to actually buy one?

We are on the second wave of it on some of my shoots.

It works the other way too. In the corner of one of our fields at home, on the roadside rather than the field side, there is an underground bt cabinet. It sends locators mental and you get 18" reads over a 4 or 5m square area.
-
Place we did last year, it's the field I showed you were there is a huge Warren along the hedge then another on the other side that runs down into the ditch.

Average semi autos out of the box in terms of accuracy, quality and reliability. Get rid of half the internals for aftermarket items and they can be made into very good rifles indeed, the only thing is some people don't see the point in chucking anything up to £600 at a rifle to get it working properly just because they are generally guff out of the box. I had an old synthetic remmy 597 which would out shoot custom 10/22's at the club. It cost me 150 quid second hand and the only thing I did to it that cost money was take the barrel down to about 13" and rethread it.

I'd not been down there for a couple of weeks then got broken so I've not been able to shoot for a couple of months because of a knackered shoulder so it seems numbers have crept up a hell of a lot since I was last down there.

Daft question... What phone do you have? The reason I say it is because in addition to a mouth caller (the harmonica style one) I go out armed with a selection of calls on my phone and just use that. Dropped 3 last night in pretty close succession and have used it to drag a fox disinterested in the mouth caller in to an yard shot from about 450 away. I've got a vixen call, bunny distress, and a bird distress on mine that my mate made the 1.30 ish length call mp3's into a 16 track album with every other track being a couple of minutes break. Very effective and you can

There are places you can't even purse net because there is simply more hole than ground! I've actually acquired a couple more busy permissions too recently but haven't had chance to get down and weigh them up properly yet. Fingers crossed it'll be a good season!

Time depends entirely on your area. Some forces are turning things around in 5 to 6 months, others 5 to 6 days. Ring them and ask, tell them the problem and they may just let you take it down in person for them to do while you wait. Unfortunately nobody but your local office can help.

https://youtu.be/TASNQ0IFik4 Apologies for the poor footage, didn't have a dvr with me last night but this is a glimpse of just one of the fields on one of my perms taken last night while I was out foxing The entire farm is lifting with bunnies, in this field alone I've taken over 120 bunnies over the last 12 months. Should be good training ground for the lurcher!

I've been gifted about 20 of the piss thin Bisley ones which are a good size and purse up well but are a bitch to try and untangle if you get hawthorn hedge cuttings and bits of Holly etc caught up in them. For what they weigh I keep them in the bottom of the bag just in case but wouldn't use them if I had spun poly left.

Some flyers have their pigeons on so many supplements and chemicals it would make a Russian olympian blush. I feed racing pigeons to mine but only young birds that haven't made the grade and were getting their heads pulled regardless or unwanted / not needed youngsters that still aren't even in full feather. No health problems to report, but I only feed pigeons I know are clean.
