  2. see if you can find the older model tasco 3x9x59 ag made in japan mate. optics are very very good
  3. Pretty sure its a Pes 12 or Pes of some sort. it depends on where the bullet hits inside them mate. if it hits a bone it opens them right up
  4. mine is around 12 to 13 pound with scope and mod and bipod
  5. i guess it all depends what it hits on the way through
  6. there soild mate. i like the old dm80 mod it just seams better suited to me. trouble with the sak they leak at the joints on the back
  7. get one mr l you wont be sorry there very underrated rifles and worth the money. if you look on the forums in the usa . alot of them use the action for builds to
  8. ive got the old dm80 mate the longer over barrel one ive had it a couple of years and its soild. ive had the whisper and tryed new dm80. ive had sak and a carbon rimfire mod and the old dm80 is better. worth the money. at 1st it didnt seam that much difference to the sak. but once you have used it then go back you will tell a massive difference
  9. i got a mtc on ,y hmr mate and shot fox to 190 yards well its pretty good anything over that isnt very clear in my eyes. the zeiss i got now 300 yards there still very clear
  10. your right there mate thats my mate darren. being a match angler he should no better
  11. best scope for around 300 pound secondhand is the bushnell 6x24x50 elite tactial with side px
  12. check everything is tight and then strat with mod off then try different scope. clean the barrel and look at the crown
  13. soild rifles and i think better then the rem. but not as popular over here. thats a good thing there cheaper. and jewell trigger on mine works a treat. nice bolt to
  14. i would look at the redding press amd gear. yes it cost more but if your loading for all those cal's you need to make sure its going to last. reloading nr oxford are about the best place to go
  15. i had a meopta fixed mag on hmr and went back to a 4x16x50 well i dont use it on 16 its nice to be able to go below 7 which you cant on fix mag. also be careful as fixed mag scopes have a fixed px of 100 yards. well most are set for this. to be fair they suite deer shooting better. i would get adjustble scope but clear optics is more important then anything
  16. i have a deben 12 v 20 amp battery and it lasts all night
  17. depends what you want it for. ! i no its to range but what i mean is do you range at night under the lamp ? if so this wont pick up range very well. and is hard to see inless its a red lcd display
  18. your be fine mate say you want 22lr for the silentness round the horses where the hmr is abit much. and then you want a 223 or 22/250 for the foxes. if the flo says well wont it be loud round the horses tell him you shoot them up the other end of the farm lol
  19. zeiss kicks ass. superb optics on the conquest. good price compared to the 1000 pound scopes and the fact its 25 mm tube means it saves alot of weight
  20. check the crown on it. have you cleaned the barrel since you have used it. you dont need to clean 22lr that much but if its had a lot of rounds there is a starting point
  21. its wierd in my 22/250 i find the v max dont do that much damage and softpoints do on fox. yet for deer its the other way round
  22. ha ha ha what i was meaning to say mate is its not the best bag i have had to other times i have shot. but being in for weeks then going out it was nice to go out and shoot. i mite be off to a friends down in gloucester for some shooting on 500 acres. tonight if the weather holds off. had a look on the forcast and it looks ok
