  4. That,s interesting Jamie that your .204 does not shoot well with factory ammo because mine and all the others I have come across do. Which rifle have you got and which brands of ammo did you try. i didnt say they dont shoot well ! i said to get the best of it you need to reload. not all shops stock lots of different brands of ammo for the 204 . if this is the case and you get one and your shop only stocks one or 2 brands. and they dont shoot well in it ? what you going to do then ? travel about to get ammo. im not knocking the 204 i was thinking about one myself. but ammo around
  5. thats the norm north of the border im afraid. i guess its because of the remote countryside there. the land is so hilly lets face it it isnt going to not pass for some sort of high caliber.

  10. 223 if you dont want to reload as 204 is a cal you should reload for really imo to get the best out of it. saying that 22/250 ammo in factory form is aboutt eh same as 223 ammo these days

  15. they are easy to fit just take your time. im sure the rimfire magic kits comes with leaflet to show you how to do it. i had the brooks kit which comes with 4 tubes and 4 springs. the rimfire magic kits doesnt come with all these im pretty sure. i think i read somewhere dave who is there [gunsmith at rimfire magic] said its because the 2 other tubes and springs in the brooks kit are not really safe. thats why they dont include them in there kit. i agree most people that have the brooks kits on really only use the 1s.t 2 springs and tubes. i tryed the others and the let off was t
  16. waste of money imo. been there and had one. well it does give you more range. not much more ! just more stopping power. if you can use the 22lr or hmr then no need for fac air. resale prices are the killer. not nly have you go to spend money to fac the rifle. you are then losing out on resale price when selling fac air. where the standard air rifle will hold value better.
  17. dam im getting federal ammo for the 22/250 for 23 pound. 223 is getting real dear now
  18. had a couple on the evening just before dark fell. and zanda both on spinner. alot of people dont like dead baiting pike in summer and perfer to spin for them.
  19. 2 things i dont agree with is 22/250 being alot louder then 223 from what i have heard well out shooting a 223 with ase mod on it is the same as my 22/250 with same mod. you wouldnt tell the differene to notice. and the other thing is the barrel wear. yes it wont last as long as 223 that is a fact. but lets face it if your using it for fox control your have to be shooting alot of foxes to wear one out. biggest killer in barrel wear is very hot loads. but mainly firing shots off one after the other for 6 to 7 rounds at a time with out cooling down in between. and not looking after the
  20. 223wssm is prob the fastest 22 centrefire off shell it can push a bullet around 200 fps faster then a 220 swift. and can be piced up for next to nothing. [ downside imo not as good resale value and less choice of rifles] 223 if yo ugo for a 1 in 9 or 1 in 8 twist you can push bullets heavier then what you have stated on your page. of course the heavier the bullet the more loopy it would be. 22/250 again most are 1 in 14 so that will only really go to 55 grain bullets. you could get a 1 in 12 that will do up to 60 grain bullets. if it was me looking for one again the new savage look
  21. yes its uk custom shop owned by andrew banner. also dm80 does the same. and john bokket can do it also
  22. from what ive seen of other 204's the 39 grain blizkings are around the best performers.
  23. give it chance once you have been a couple of times your get a idea of the lay out of land. and the hot spots. best have a look in the day as at night on new land can be hard to see back stops and stuff if your using bullet rifles. and on flat ground thats important
