  1. it just takes time mate. a new rifles allways does. keep hitting the targets and your soon get use to the trigger.
  2. 22lr for rabbit its cheap silent and deadly for rabbit control. 22/250 for fox. fast, flat, hard hitting
  3. i agree as long as you can show good reason then there shouldnt be a problem getting centrefire 1st time round. my dad got a 222 1st time of asking. muntjac, fox and vermin on it
  4. if its shooting fine leave well alone. if the accuracy go's off then give the barrel a pull through. or a rod. it will soon be back on song.
  5. they do w wild dog stock for the cz look them up
  6. if you allready own a accurate rifle why change ? i no you fancy a stainless model but is it worth the extra money when you allrady have a accurate rifle. what rifle do you own at the moment
  7. im guessing most 222 rifles are a 1 in 14 like most 22/250. 223 you can get 1 in 12 1 in 9 1 in 8
  8. if you want to do it then do it mate. but i dont think your gain alot. and if you sell the rifle your never get the cash back
  9. imo i wouldnt bother mate i dont think bedding the stock will make your rimfire any more accurate. just adjust the trigger and spend the rest on ammo and a upgrade of scope. the reason i dont think your get any more accuracy out of it. is dont forget rimfires are factory ammo. so no matter how much you do to the gun your rifle accuracy is dictated by the ammo. unlike a centrefire where you can make your own to improve accuracy
  10. i use kg1 carbon remover on patches and never have any problem with carbon build up. after you patch it out use some degreaser and then that will flush it all out. then patch it dry
  11. i just put down that i wanted to keep the noise in the area i shoot over down. as i didnt want it bothering the surounding houses and farms
  12. you can get a nylon brush mate if it worrys you. thats what i use
  13. depends on battry size and how much you have used it night before. the 12 volt 20 amp one i have if used most the night takes a full day to charge allmost
  14. get yourself some reloading kit some powder, dies, bullet heads and primers and your away mate. the silvertips are dear ammo and trust the dear stuff to shoot the best in your rifle. its allways the case when your trying to save some dosh. shame you didnt live closer you could have used my reloading gear
  15. hi mate your talking about 22/250 ? if so the winchester silvertip rounds are good in mine to. i hear alot of people say they shoot well in there rifles. there very fast to. over crono in my 26 inch barrel 22/250 winchester they where pushing over the 3800 fps mark ! very flat shooting round for sure. and great accuracy. sako 50 grain gameheads are worth a try also
  16. dicehorn knows his stuff thats for sure. he has helpped me out on a couple of things with reloading. true what he says alot of factory rifles shoot better with a jump. mine is 1.950 to the ogive. ive tryed it closer to the lands and the groups just open up.
  17. there has been a good number of m595 tikka 243 rifles for sale lately on different forums. and they sold allmost right away. that tells you how much there sort after now. i would keep a look out for one on guntrader to. alot of shops that sell thses rifles check them before buying them or taking them in px. so your not going to be buying a dud just have a look over it before buying take the bolt out and have a good look down the barrel. of course to look at it properly then a borescope would be needed. most gunsmith will carry one. also dont think you go tot have the 1st rifle if
  18. i have amber on mine for foxing. if the rabbits are abit spooky i use the red filter
  19. cz did a limited one with a walnut stock and fluted barrel. but dont see many of them around anymore. a lad i no had one and it was alovely rifle. if you got the money to spend look at the cooper arms hmr rifles. there stocks a beautiful walnut. tho there not cheap and there is a waiting to get them over here. 8 to 10 months
  20. a good one which is cheap is the wam caller mate. its not that loud but very relistic sound.
  21. depends on how long you lamp for but for something that size you want a 12volt 20 amp imo
  22. good going mate. ive found a sweet part of a wood on my shoot where there lay up in the day. muntjac on the menu soon
  23. just write it down when you apply and im sure your flo will bring it up in your interview. i got a caution a year or so before i apply for my fac. i wrote it down and the flo spoke to me about it. it was for a bust up in town when drunk on a night out. i told him the full story and he was happy with that. he just said when you are a fac holder you have to think. if you get in trouble again that will be the end of your fac. if you dont write it down and he comes for interview he will then bring it up. mind yours was a time ago by the sound of it. just tell him kids will be kids. he wil
  24. i would have the bolt action 22lr wouldnt bother with semi auto but thats just me. as for centrefire then 243 does it all.
