  1. its not the case of being ripped off mate. i understand what your saying to do a job on rabbits all the 22lr rifles are about the same. but the annie and sako cost more because they are builter built. like anything you pay for the name also. ther emore refinded they have better triggers from the box. yes you can get a brooks kit buyt the annie one adjusts fully. the bolt is alot smoother also. im not knocking the cz they are superb rifles and well put togeather. they are very accurate. i use to have the style with 16 inch barrel. i sold it as i went on to different rifles. i havent
  2. what you got to remember is at long range with a 308 or 338 you miss the rabbit it lives. a hit anywhere on it with these rifles will kill instant anyway.
  3. the wam call is about the best sounding one. but it isnt very loud
  4. i would have one of richard pope's mods
  5. just had a email back mate and that link i put on my other post is about the cheapest i can find that ammo anywhere. this guy by me wanted the prices below ! 220 swift 52 gr boat tail hp £38-20 220 swift 40 gr nosler ballistic tip £36-20
  6. im sure i can find you some trouble is would it be worth you traveling down here ? inless the rfd here will ship it to your rfd. the cost of trhe ammo wont be cheap as the 220 swift is not a popular round over this side of the pond this place does it http://www.nevilleguns.com/cartridges-ammunition/federal-v-shok-220-swift-40-grain im waiting for a email back froma local dealer i think will beat those prices. if i where you tho mate i would go for a 50 grain. your still have the speed but it will be better over longer distance with a 50 grain
  7. kiss good buy to his hand there will be no repair to that
  8. yes order it from rimfire magic. top service i ordered one for a mate not to long back. i phoned up at 3 in the afternoon on a friday. and 7 the next morning it was on my door step
  9. top set up there mate. a rifle is only as good as the scope in my book. and yours buy the look of your kit
  10. the ground is more then likely the problem. it is so dry at the min. just be careful. sounds like next door is poss bullshitting you abit to on the amount he has heard
  11. that is a disgrace isnt it. what a waste of food
  12. got two ase cqb mods. one on a 222 and one on the 22/250. there imo nothing better. yes they are front mounted which alot of people dont like. but i dont mind this. for the fact being they are compact in size. not 2 inchs + round like the big over barrel mods. what i would say is get the ase compact if you think your use it on a bigger caliber later. as they go up to 25/06 or a magnum one. the cqb is for 22 cf rifles so you a little less noise then the compact. but in the real world you prob wouldnt tell the difference.
  13. i would spend that little extra and get the rcbs kit or the redding kit.
  14. top shooting. lovely weather for it also
  15. see some bigger people dont like light guns in there hands. they perfer something of a bit of weight. i had the annie heavy barrel hmr and imo even with a scope and mod on it. it was as light as can be
  16. here is my old mans beagle x jack when we 1st got him http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff19/jamie1517/picture1-1.jpg getting older http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff19/jamie1517/n696827005_237064_7002.jpg and now he is around 3 years old http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff19/jamie1517/shooting%20pics/100_1070-1.jpg what the guy said in the 1st post is so true. you have to spend time with them. i didnt think he would work as he was stubborn as hell when young. he would do as he was told but sometimes use to ge tit into his head. pick up some scent and boom gone across
  17. sorry to be the person with the bad news but the above posts are right. they dont do a 10 shot mag for the hmr. which is the only downfall on the annie i think. your right you get through the 4 rounds quick then have to quick reload the mag
  18. i wouldnt put the tape on it. if you want to cover it get one of those rifle nets and adjust it to suite. if it was me i wouldnt bother
  19. weird rules our forces make up at times
  20. zeiss make superb optics, for lots of different things. glasses, optics, rangefinders, bino. etc they are dear but you get what you pay for just got a victory 6x24x56 for my 22/250 and optics are stunning. havent had it ouyt a night yet under lamp as i have got to set it up 1st. hopefully the weekend will be nice and windless to do this. ive also got a zeiss conquest on the 222. this is made in the usa so doesnt have the german glass like the victory. but is still super clear.
  21. 22lr for me. perfect rabbting rifle. silent, more then enough power for the distance your be shooting the rabbits at holdover to 100 yards in the right conditions isnt that hard
  22. i dont no how they work that out because bullet heads dont go on ticket. expanding heads go in the rfd book but not on your ticket here. and match heads have as many boxes as you like. again dont go on ticket.
  23. my mate comes under your force. there pretty quick
  24. good bit of info there buddy. the 260 rem looks a cracking bit of kit
  25. i ahve a garlands cammo one. it got straps inside to hold firearm. lots of pockets. and more then big enought to hold the rifle.my rifle is over 30 inch barrel with mod on end. and i have a 56 mm front scope on it. and the bag holds it easy
