Don't take advice from THL advisor's because it is usually nonsense. Get some proper advice and describe everything truthfully. Jessdale, could you not put him in touch with your daughter or her firm for some advice?

    For the record it was one of the hardest things I have had to do. I was asked if I would be on the selecting comitee and accepted because i thought, foolishly, I may be able to alter proceedings. I knew these guys and their families. I thought if I could save just one itd be worthwhile...it didnt turn out like that.

    Right guys, time to stop the band wagon. Everyone is saying this company broke procedures or broke rules without knowing the companies procedures. I think you will find, unfortunately, that there is no specific procedure in law regarding dismisals. The law only states it must be fair. It appears what they have done is given you a disciplinary with written confirmation. They should have given you prior notice and given you the opportunity to take someone in with you and your views should have been heard, again however I dont think this is law but 'guidance'.     Nice one WILF. Thats the way kids should be brought up IMO. Ive moved to sticks for the same reason. Still have a full time normal job but surrounded by fields when I come home. The dream may be getting a little closer aswell, I was talking to one of the locals on Saturday about leasing a field from him.     He is at the absolute pinacle of boxing and young kids unfortunately will be lookin up to this guy and he comes out with language and actions like he does? Thats what gets my back up. Some example to be settin. His problem is that there is a distinct lack of inteligence that would allow him to play elaborate mind games to get the edge on the opponent so instead he calls names and swears and acts the fool.
