    Personally i dont go along with all the role model stuff that sportsmen are expected to be........i think thats a parents job........just because a young man reaches the top of his chosen sport doesnt mean he should have to take elocution lessons he,s there to perform at sport not talk infront of cameras.......but i do think men,particularly fighting men should carry themselves with a little bit of class and have something about them.I can understand your views on sportsmen having to be a role model. However regardless of a mans profesion there is a time and a place. Foul language like that

    He is at the absolute pinacle of boxing and young kids unfortunately will be lookin up to this guy and he comes out with language and actions like he does? Thats what gets my back up. Some example to be settin. His problem is that there is a distinct lack of inteligence that would allow him to play elaborate mind games to get the edge on the opponent so instead he calls names and swears and acts the fool. It will be interesting to see the post fight interview if he loses. Thats when it will be evident if its all a game.

    The guy is an embarresment and a disgrace. Using language like that in a public display? He is at the absolute pinacle of the sport and should be setting an example for the kids that are starting out. Doing bad impressions of vlads accent so now he can add public racism to his portfolio.     I have been a bit frustrated with some of the punditry this year about leicester. They have been waiting every week for them to slip up and every week they have delivered. That team has lost 3 games all season yet people were still expectin them to lose three on the bounce...because its leicester. When Ranieri took over I think they won 9 games on the bounce to stay up then they do this...so stick another 9 in the wins coloumn because thats their run.     Why ask mods to lock the thread? With all due respect, this is the general section and nobody has asked you to read through this thread. I started the thread and am still getting plenty of entertainment from it, as are many others I'm sure, coupled with the fact that it's these type of threads where you actually find out a lot about people if you look a little bit past the bickering and arguing ??     I am a massive Ronnie fan and agree with lanesra. We havent had someone as naturally talented at their chosen sport as him. He made his first century at something daft like 8 years old, first 147 at 14/15, pro at 16 and won a championship at 17 I think. Who has done anything similar to that?     When I went to school there were two lads that were potential 'cock of t' year'. One was gobby, didnt listen to teachers, acted up in lessons and always fighting with someone because he picked fights to consolidate his reputation as a scrapper ........no-one liked him. One was quiet and inteligent and had respect and didnt really fight anyone.......everyone liked him.
