  1. Ive lost 6 chickens to Mr fox. Been looking to buy a trap but if I did grt a trap and did catch him how do I safely (my safety) and quickly dispatch of a trapped fox? Im used to dealing with pheasant pigeons rats and rabbits! Air rifles is my thing though I do have a sxs sg but a bit dubious about using it in such close quaters in a metal cage, concerned of ricoche or damaging the trap! Any help be appreciatted thanks.
  2. long shot but dont suppose he would be interested in a swap for a tx200 and a sxsbaikel? obviously must have sgc.
  3. Good price that. If I had a spare 450 Id be having it.
  4. I was shocked by the difference pellet type can make! Ive never had a rifle this pellet fussy before. I wont be changing again!
  5. Stick with it Mac and find the right pellet....just read this after Id written my post!
  6. I used to run bisley mags through my 100 and it was unreal how accurate it was. For some reason and Im not sure why I decided to change to superfield 4.51mm. Lost all consistency. Every fifth pellet was an inch off at 30yard!!! I persisted with them and ended up falling out of love with the 100. It went to the bottom of the pile behind my Imp and tx. I decided to knock the dust off of her and go back to the mags 4.50mm and had a play yesterday.. https://db.tt/e8EsJiRa Thats 8 pellets at 48 yards. Im back in love!
  7. Right fellas. Had a daytime fox visit my chickens yesterday luckily I was there so it didnt get any. My neighbour has lost 7 chickens in the last week so I have no doubt it will come back. Does anyone have any fox traps for sale or that I could borrow? Im at Doncaster. Cheers.
  8. Found a great spotted woodpecker in the garden this morning dead. Looks totally undamaged. Any good to anyone here? If it is I will put it in the freezer and save till collection. I live at Doncaster. Ry
  9. I had a go at something similar and got about half way thought de-boning ....and it turned into a piece of meat I could only stew!. Must try harder!!!
  10. £150 would be about the price to fix the front door and the dental work to make him presentable again, or the cost in laxitives and lube to get the damaged scope out his ar*e!
  11. Looking to get back into it fellas hoping to get a couple of kits soon. I have a hutch still but burnt my olf ferret shed last summer to make way for a new block built shed ...still to be built! Thinking about making a decent ferret court while Im at it after some ideas. Any pics/advice would be appreciated Show us your set ups and what turned out to be the good/bad bits would be good so I can try and get it right first time. Thanks Ry.
  12. Yes it is true. I used to live in the same village and know the family. Not sure why it was only in the sun last week because it happened back end of last year. Only reason he was found was his dog was found barking and crying at his side the next morning.
  13. Sorry rez, the imp is never going I have bonded with it now!
  14. I have a tx200 i bought from a friend on impulse sat doing nothing if you are interested for £250. only considerin selling as I want a new s/g and i always use my hw100 or sfs imp.
  15. Apologies if the title is spelt incorrectly! last week I had my hands on a stiff stoat (no joke) it had drowned, long story, and this morning I saw a roe deer at the side of the road bloated and stiff as a board. Question is does rigamortis, drowning, act of death (other tha. damage) affect taxidermy??? If not Im gutted I didnt keep the stoat, however trying to ram a cold stiff deer into the boot of a company car may not have gone unoticed!
