  1. Personally Id ask £200 to stop any plonker coming after a cheap dog. when I found the right home and thought they were genuine I would just let them keep the money.
  2. Dogs run on because of their hunting instinct not their balls! Whoever takes him on knows they cant breed from him so why would it be an issue in 5yrs time? My mam used to say, If tha's nowt nice to say keep the gob shut young un. Looks a trim, healthy dog. I would love to take him on but I have 2 terriors and a lab at the min so I dont think I could give another dog enough time. Its not an easy descision giving up a dog, best of luck with the sale Polkey. Sorry cant help you at the min.
  3. surely there can always be some improvement on standard, smoother, quieter, less variation in fps... Depends on time I have as I have just taken on a slice of land alongside my house that is extremely overgrown so can see me not havin much time to mess with tx. I may let a friend of mine have a play. we shall see.
  4. picked up my new toy yesterday tx200, makes a reasonable trio; tx200 in .22 to tinker with sfs imp .22 hw100 .177 https://db.tt/BCfhzyVz
  5. Yeah. HW100 and maybe on sfs imp.
  6. have you buggered the camera trying to remove the ir? I cant open your pic so not sure on what set up you have but it took me abit of mucking about altering the distance from the back of the scope, the lens and settings for camera and its good for 200 think camera was about 16 quid.also if you have an ao scope it could be that blurring it out at different ranges. set up is like roloids, bullet cam and lcd monitor on weaver rail. Mine is ao and was planning on having a play tonight but bust it first thing this morning!
  7. Yeah, i tried with a small screwdriver as per roloids vid and with a touch like a baby elephant i managed to crack the lens then continued and totally f****d it up! that camera was perfect from my kitchen table to woodshed, I said 30 yards but that may be generous. Then I tried looking over the paddock and couldnt see 65yards well. i could see the fence line and wouldve seen eyes but doubt I wouldve had definition. I am guna order the same camera again and also order an ej230 and see if there any difference.
  8. right lads, wheres the best place for ej230? sure 24?
  9. Well that did not go to plan........new camera now required!
  10. Thanks for that rod. I have just seen it on a roloids vid on youtube. I have my fingers crossed and will be checking in the morning.
  11. errrr, No I didnt and I dont know! Complete amateur! Would it work at 30 yard and not 50 if it had ir filter in?
  12. yeah, I did wonder if it was the camera. Its perfect at 30 yard. I will make sure everything is fully charged and give it a proper run out soon and see what I think but the ej230 may be getting ordered soon!
  13. Just had a look across padock at the front of the house to the fence line, about 60 yards. wasnt very good im afraid, I could see the fence and wouldve easily seen eyes if they were there but pic went a bit grainy? Seemed to be strugglin for light so wonderin if its the IR torch I have? O muat add I am reserving judgement, it wasnt a proper trial seen as I was stood out the front of my house in my calvins in the wind and the rain!
  14. I have just about done it today. thats the link I put on above. I wanted to give it a try tonight but its pissin it down now! typical! I have been checkin it to my wood shed which is 30 yards and thats clear as a bell. havent tried any further yet.
  15. Big thanks to plummerterrior. Kindly gave me a 16mm lens he had spare, wouldnt even take anything for postage! Cheers fella, Its perfect! Ry
  16. https://www.dropbox.com/lightbox/home/DIY%20NV Dont know if this link will work lads but Ive nearly finished my NV, Just few finishing touches to go.
  17. The land is overgrown with wildgrass and brambles etc so the idea of getting the pigs was for them to turn it to mud for me, saves my back and at the end of it I get a chest freezer full of meat! I was looking at Tamworths as from what I have read they are the closest thing to a plough on legs. Did you do a butchery course or just get on with it and learn as you go?
  18. I agree with this. I am just going through purchasing a small section of land and this is how I did it. Also you coukd rent the land if the farmer doesnt want to sell? (most dont want to sell at reasonable prices). As above though find some land you want then approach the current owner.
  19. I am considering getting a couple of pigs. I have just agreed to buy some extra land alongside my house which would give us about half an acre. I was thinking of getting two pigs and letting them have half the garden so about 0.25 acre. Is that enough room? Also how much does it cost for slaughter? and do you tramsport them there yourself? Just gota get the wife past the idea of naming them!!!
  20. For what it may be worth I will vouch for Dave fellas. Genuine bloke. While ago I had sfs imp from him. Top gun, top guy, cheers Dave.
  21. I used to have a perm thru a friend at a farm ratting and it was brilliant nothing better than ratting. When I go popping rabbits I take a few for the pot unless the land owner wants different. rats I could shoot all night and not pack in. I have seen rats literally fighting over a rat I have just shot, must still be warm. F****ng horrible things.
  22. As a note to the above young rats shite looks like mouse shit. I was adamant I had both rats and mice (unlikely) because of the excrement i found, that was until I trapped a young one, when I moved the trap there were the really small droppings under the cage that I had previously thought were mice.
