Fair enough, it’s been done in war, albeit about 50 years ago. From what I can see, and limited scientific knowledge, it doesn’t actually ‘make’ rain, but in the right climatic conditions can cause localised precipitation which I guess could be useful, but is probably as much if not more use as a propaganda tool. The science I can’t dispute, but I think from the original post and others following, the inference is that this weather manipulation is done routinely and surreptitiously by unseen forces. I just don’t buy that.
-
Have you any examples or proof of when it was deliberately used for any of the above?

They? Who’s controlling who’s weather…, and why?

I like Joe Rogan, but he smokes a good bit of weed, which (imo) makes him a bit prone to buying into the odd conspiracy theory or two ?

Useless Geordies canna even work a TV remote. Put me in mind of watching Scotland v Italy in a Euros play off in a boozer where the projector screen collapsed mid-way through the first half…, thought there was going to be a riot…, when they put it back up ?

The whole furore about the can they/can’t they wear a rainbow armband, Joe Lycett ‘shredding’ 10 grand, the endless talk of who is and who isn’t doing enough to highlight the intolerance of homosexuality in Qatar, John Fashanu getting dogs abuse for swimming against the tide…, etc., etc., etc., and it’s all for what exactly? The Qataris, and arabs in general care not a single fcuking iota about what the West think about their morality, laws and the way they run their society. In fact all this nonsense will only create resentment and serve to strengthen their resolve and belief in their ow

Was once the way in football as in many sports. Sport was about unifying people, being able to set aside the differences of nation politics, even wars. Now money talks loudest, broadcasters and sponsors virtue signalling desperately to protect the brand image, and show that they’re inclusive of everyone regardless of race, religion, sexuality etc., and not because they care that much, but because criticism that they don’t, might hit them in the pocket. I didn’t watch it, but heard England took the knee last night and the USA didn’t? A gesture started after a black American was killed duri

With all this stuff, it’s always the tail wagging the dog. About fcukin time the silent majority had their say. Take all this trans rights sh!te, and the demands that all these ‘trans women’, many of whom still have the penis they were born with, are given access to women’s toilets, changing rooms, even jails! Speak out and you’re pilloried as an evil bigot.., but then only by a very small minority, but who unfortunately seen to have huge influence. I’d love to see a referendum, a blind ballot on these issues. Then we’d see how the people really feel…, and then our politicians might be fo

Young selfish PR!CKS looking at their phones sitting at traffic lights instead of paying attention and getting on their marks when it goes to green…, and then they just get through, and I hit the red. ?

Any idea where I can pick up some of that tape ?

Fcuk me. Wish I was liked, or even hated enough on here to have my own 11 page thread ? For what it’s worth I think some the guy’s patter is alright, and his contribution on a load of subjects has been as interesting as the next man’s. Bit like Max though in that he likes the last word I think, and that often descends into the pages of tedious bickering that pisses off the majority. The ones that engage with either of them maybe need to take a look at themselves too in my opinion. Live and let live. -
£26.95 ????

I didn’t make the connection at the time, but he was the guy that got in the ring with the lad with Downs syndrome. From what I seen he put on a great show and gave the lad the night of his life. Remember some people knocking him at the time for patronising the lad, but I didn’t see it like that at all. Just a good heart as you said. RIP

Genuinely think this could develop into a pretty big issue. Reports of big impacts on seabird colonies in the Spring & Summer. Now the winter migrants are arriving we’re apparently seeing an impact too. Load of dead swans found in Glasgow, and a cull on others.., bird flu the cause. Bird flu fears after 12 swans found dead in park - BBC News WWW.BBC.CO.UK Two more birds are sick and Glasgow City Council is working on the... Thing is these are easily noticed, but how easy will it be to see the effect on other species? Last few weeks I’v

Is Bale the best player ever to play for Wales? I think so. International football seems to bring out the best in him.

I came out of Tesco earlier and there was a woman stood there crying her eyes out. Turns out she’d lost all the Christmas money she’d been saving for months. I felt so sorry for her I gave her £100. Don’t normally do that sort of thing, but I’d just found £2000 in the car park.

Very good point, which I hadn’t thought about. Can you imagine the opening ceremony, it’d be like some sort of Notting Hill/Pride mash up on steroids.

I don’t care, nor think it’s any of my business how the Qataris treat anyone in their own country. Point is that one of the planet’s biggest and most prestigious sporting competitions shouldn’t have been anywhere near Qatar. Any due diligence would have (and no doubt did) foresee the current issues being raised, but the nod was given to them due to palms being greased.., a blind man could see that. Pains me to say it ? but the 2022 world cup should have been played in England in the summer. That a country with England’s standing in the game, stadia and infrastructure etc. hasn’t hosted the t

Agree. But if they felt so strongly about Qatar, then they should have stated when it was announced in 2010 that they’d boycott. Other countries I’m sure would have followed. Regards the armband, I’m not sure it’s even Kane’s choice. Call it virtue signalling, or whatever, but this decision will be a calculated PR one involving the FA no doubt. Said it for the BLM thing too, open the door to players and clubs making political gestures and where does it all stop? The thing is that what we see here, and with the BLM thing is blatant political coercion…, with people feeling forced to make these (

World cup coverage has been wall to wall about worker exploitation, LBGTQ rights and corruption within the governing body. And, by the way, a lot of those with plenty to say don’t even watch or give a monkeys about the sport. Bored to fcuk with it. When does the actual football come into it?

I remember watching that. Stunning end to a fight. No age that to die though, sad.

Coming soon, to a racecourse near you. -
Carnoustie golf course yesterday.., apparently they had to close the course. Bit drastic maybe, still a bit of grass showing.
