I've been hunting so many years and never had waterproof trousers, just either stayed of the wet ground or got damp!
I've been hunting so many years and never had anything knitted by Mac...
And yeah they know dont they, walk out the back door with dogs in tow down to the shed and they sit there staring, pop out to shoot targets or whatever and they're off like rockets!
Squirrel mmm, under rated and over looked,I think its worth the hassle to prepare and can be done nicely in a few ways, and the rabbit organs have always been a treat for the ferrets, should look at adding them to my own cooking for flavour??
sods law there! i try to take a tin where ever i go as well, even though my rifle would run out of air i still like to have a tin, always have done this since starting out with my vulcan, something ill always do i reckon...
Shaky session then? I know that feeling of being pumped up and always seem to put my first shot a cm off target then get the rest in 5p groups,I've been doing a lot of paper target recently and its always the same for some reason?? Least you ended on a good number with plenty to curry up,very nice offer of a curry night as well, sounds a busy weekend I'd say...
Sounds like git but begins sh! I never seem to get a break but every sod around me gets new perms,I just tag along now when I get the time, which is not often enough believe me!!
I used a rucksack then bought a bipod which was great on a golf course for getting over the grass, then I started to not like having to go prone all the time so made mine,my next one is full height as i like the thought of standing as it gives more options in your shot, you know? let us know how it goes...
Your back in your stride now then, sounds as if you are confident with and enjoying that set up,two very important things in shooting?? Nice little bag there, and it is horrible to see the things mooching around almost aimlessly with that disease but thankfully it seems quite rare now? Well done and you are flying the hw97k .22 flag like mark williams does the hw100kt .177 one!! Let's not start keeping score or anything now lads!?!?
Different to get video,I used to shoot like that on a track between a golf course and fishing lake, nice easy drive round usually offered a shot or two, like it...
Oh and it started out as a bipod but after I added the third leg I noticed an improvement in my grouping so would recommend tripod based on my experience so far...
I made this for kneeling/sitting,
I can get tight groups at decent range but have only played with it shooting paper,I'm confident with it now so am looking to get it out soon on some dinner and ferret food!!
To actually take a hunting holiday alone must be good, gaining permission and bagging a few bits is a bonus, the squirrel project you are part of sounds as if it could be making progress and a few deer possible in the future? Sounds like a good few days to me...
