  1. Would agree that a springer is best for a beginner, when you're at the point of getting one ask again for which, that will be a three page thread alone! Would like to add though any level of experience would appreciate one, most own both types and some only one but we all kind of want one in our cupboard
  2. Not a bad watch, and after a bit of science and diagram and what not I think the answer is still nerves? After seeing the title I thought you were describing me when I get a rare chance to shoot!
  3. David mentioned range, that's what I think is important on an air rifle, you'll only need to light up a target clearly,as in can identify,at 40/50 yards, eye shine probably 80/100 to let you get near then shoot,so I think that is worth considering as well as the other details on the torch itself... Mines a Chinese cheapo but works well enough with a filter on front at the range I choose,I also wrap card round the end to keep the spot really tight, probably only a few yards across at 40 yards, the stock mounted pressure switch is the thing to look out for really as you can adjust the light a bit
  4. Haha few pints and phone = double post

  10. You put some coin and time into this hobby don't you Mac,seem to chase the ideal set up then when you're close change something and do it all over again I find a rifle I'm comfortable with and a pellet that groups well in it and use that for quite a while before I feel the need to change anything, you must really have a passion for it but maybe that is what drives on this circle of chopping and changing? (Even if you found perfection itself you'd tweek it somehow wouldn't you? )
  11. Agree with these,I take it to mean wander,be it just a walk or forage, maybe poach would count? The scrounging one I would say is another meaning but I don't say it just know what people mean...

  18. What's the furthest you go for with your air rifle as by long range I mean around 40,by windy I mean outside in the open and differing I mean what's the poi at say 15,20,25 30 etc if you aim dead on? Just interested in these lighter pellets now so after honest views
  19. I know what you mean about attempting it again, when everything is right and you're in the zone these things come together but that's not to say its going to work every time, and you are wrong when you say its not a shot you would try again, you should say its not two shots you would try again!! (I think?)
