Seen on YouTube the other night the guy off Take the high road shooting wild pigs with a Gamo break barrel in .22 think it was doing around 30ftlbs
-
Not bad for a Springer at that range in wind

I bought a Skan pro1 around 1993 and its been great never missed a beat , don't like the idea of them stick on the end of the barrel things people I know who have used them keep shooting the buggers . Then again that's all I've seen some people hit

Recommended Scope And Moderator
magnummike replied to jocky's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Don't see the point of sticking a big heavy scope on a super light a Hawke Panorama 3-9x40ao with illuminated half midot ret is a great scope , as for mod I would go Swift Stubby there only small but I recon there as good as a Weihrauch mod Atb Mike -
Reading an old Hw90 stripdown guide on another forum says the start point he uses is 200psi then tests . 12bar = 175psi so I wasn't far off think he starts a little high to work down , makes sense saves pumping more than once hope this helps , Mike

You will need an adaptor to serew in to the threaded hole were the valve fits you can buy them , I got one but not sure where from now they fit in to a standard airgun pump . I wouldn't fill with a bottle as the pnmp is much more controllable think I pumped mine to about 12 bar , but start lower and test as you go but not 100% sure I'll try to find out for you as too much pressure can blow the seals on the valve as I found ,

And with the glass etched ret no chance of breaking on a springer
-
I own 5 of the older Panoramas and not had a problem with any of them my favourite is the 4-12x40ao with the half midot ret
-
Also chaps it needs a coating of fresh lead down the barrel to get it shooting right if left for a while
-
I've got one and they are a good rifle nothing I've shot is more accurate including a Steyr hunter I had and my HW100 and are a fraction of the price
-
Think that a more classic looking scope suits the and glass etched ret would be better on a springer like the . I would go for a nice hawke Panorama a 3-9 or 4-12x40AO to keep the scope low to the rifle , nice clear glass for the money and the half mil dot ret is great and is illuminated red or blue and not too heavy Atb Mike

Rifle arrived today Cheer's Chris very well packaged and is a real minter well pleased and a good man to deal with Atb Mike

Go on then Kriss I'll have it Pm to follow

If they are both as accurate as each other as the OP asks its easy the cheapest

For Sale Weihrauch Hw 77 .22,scope,bag Etc
magnummike replied to deanwar's topic in Gun's and Rifle's
Hi Dean is the 77 a k or full length and have you got the serial no so I can tell if the Internals are 25mm or 26mm , aso mag of scope ATB Mike -
I have a HW8O in .2O and is a very accurate rifle , I shoot H&N ftt's that weigh in at 11.42 grains the rest of the pellet makes weigh in at over 13 grains putting the weight in the light weight .22 catogory therefore loosing the .2O cal advantage of flatter shooting than the .22 with harder hitting than the .177 . But if the H&N's dont suit your barrel you might as well get a .22 with greater pellet selection , but if you dont go for it you will never know and miss out on this great cal . Its a gamble on one pellet realy , if it suits your barrel your ok It did in my HW 8O's barrel

Hi Rez the Falcon accuracy plus and the JSB Exact Jumbo RS only weigh in at 13.43 grains and are not the same pellet as the heavier AAfield and the JSB exact Jumbo that weigh in at 15.9g or 16g in .22 ATB Mike
-
The Falcon's in .22 are 13.43 grains so are the JSB Exact RS and are made in the same factory so they maybe the same pellet . Ive only used the JSB RS in my springers for the flatter shooting but were not that accurate in my barrels , maybe different in yours though and worth a try , think BAR have them at I think £8 a tin or there abouts at the mo ATB Mike

Any Point In .20 Cal ?
magnummike replied to villaman's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
As rimfireboy says stick to light pellets in .2O H&Nftt's just over 11 grains for the advantage of flatter shooting and still harder hitting than a .177 . But it is a gamble on this pellet suiting your barrel as the rest of the .2O are in the light weight .22 category so loosing the advantage that the .2O brings . But then again sod it just get the 95 sounds like a good excuse to get anoyher lovely rifle Ive just got myself a nice HW8O and got a HW98 heavy barrel in .2O to go on it must be the only one around I recon Bloody big thing though -
Had both at the same time found the bolt on the AA stiff in .177 , also had a AA in .22 that was nicer but not got either now , find the HW better mag and cocking leaver much easier to use
-
Maybe it is Mick the rifle I was talking about may have been a bad example , and Ive never shot one so cant realy say one way or another if you try one then you can make up your own mind

Hi Mick my mate was telling me last week one of the lads who shoot at our local range bought one a few weeks ago and sold it to another lad at the range who has sold it on again already . They both recon they are crap according to my mate , I would make sure I had a go before I handed over my hard earned ATB Mike

Hi Rez Ive also got a 77kle with the green gey and brown laminate stock in .177 and has a stage 2 tune from SFS it shoots nice and is very accurate and would recomend one . A couple of weeks ago I got a n LGV Challenger that shot nice , I put it on the chrono and it was doing 13ftlbs so appart it came and I removed all the crap inside degreased and relubed . After it was back together it was shooting very very nice at 11,3ftlbs . I then tried it with a Weihrauch silencer and I could not believe how quiet it was . On the range it shot spot on , I have decided to sell the LGV and get a LGU as t
