  1. That was not on a trampoline mate, that was straight off the ground, He suffered a bad leg injury and whilst he was still recovering the inevitable happened, walking him in the summer, something got up that should not have been there, 3 times he should have jacked but he got back up and carried on, he got what he was after but he needed cooling down fast, the nearest water was about half a mile away, i carried him to it on my shoulders. When we got home he could not sit or lay down, just lent against the bars of his run for the next 24hrs. In that that time his muscle mass just disappeared. He
  2. Nope i still use starlights, however they are far cheaper at aldi these days, other than that look at the carp boys and the bite indicators and tackle they use.
  3. I bred a litter a good few years ago, a bull/whippet bitch to a bull grey/collie grey. The first pup born i had to get out of the sack, his first breath was a growl at me, i kept the f****r just for that. made an half decent dog in the end.
  4. Personally. If i was in the market for a pup. !. I would do my homework on the breeding. Temperament and working ability of the sire and Dam. I would make sure the parents and the pups had been looked after properly both in terms of food and vet care if needed. I would ask people who had personally seen all this and be able to verify it, before i even looked at a pup. As for choosing a pup. Be methodical and take your time, Providing the litter is sound with no medical issues amongst them, Then pick the pup that you feel most comfortable with. There are no Guarantee's But if you feel dra
  5. Sloes are out already here.
  6. The usual rule with snakes is, You don't bother them and they wont bother you.
  7. Looks like a Garter snake?
  8. There was a 3ft odd grass snake swimming in the lake i was fishing last week. When we were kids in the summer holidays we use to go to a place called the roach pond, It was 2 ponds connected by an island. One end use to dry out, This place was full of grass snakes, we use to catch them and spend the next week or so stinking of the musk they secrete out as a defence Lol.
  9. I don't think they have have changed that much over the centuries, apart from the change of materials used to construct them and self locking and that.
  10. For what it takes to remove them, Then to me its a no brainer,
  11. Had a couple of terriers that were a nightmare with other dogs, one Booth bred the other a Massarella bred Russel. both brilliant workers but got rid of both as to me and my style of hunting at that time. They just did not suite.
  12. This is about standardising the training of FLO`s. In my opinion it needs doing, i have seen officers change serial numbers on certificates that have then gone on to cause issues in the future, Another officer had no idea how to disassemble a side by side, In relation to the tightening of gun laws, It is and always will be the easy option after an incident. Every car owner in the country has the ability to kill multiple people every time they start that ignition But no laws are ever tightened when this happens,

Dont worry about it, there gone.
  14. Not been to good here. Blackberries are already out, leaves have been falling off the trees for weeks now. There are only a fraction of the swallows we usually see. We are plagued with green grasshoppers at the minute though and the wasps are entering there mad weeks a lot earlier than usual. Is this the future of our summers to come?. The jet Stream appears to be stuck way down south bringing in cold wet weather from the Atlantic.

  19. They are very opportunistic when it comes to food, I suppose it fits in with a nomadic life style, Around here they use the canal and river systems like we do roads. These canals are full of signal crays so are the easiest food source for otters but not necessarily there only food source, A small pond on a local farm had a couple of dozen Grass Carp in it, They had been in there since before i was a kid, It is quite close to the canal, Otters found it the other year and took every single fish in there over a two week period, Now this pond was small and only about 3ft at its deepest. The otte
  20. A few years back a mate of mine was fishing a match on the local canal. He won it with a single 8lb sturgeon and it was returned. The problem with lots of signal crays in a water is that eventually otters will arrive as they are now there main food source followed by fish. Big zander and pike will take crays as well, Otters being nomadic will hammer an area before moving on. Catfish to me are nothing more than a big aquatic slug Lol
  21. I know a couple of places very similar to there, One is full of Tench but rarely any are caught, The place is crawling in natural food.
  22. It is legal for companies to pay migrant workers 20% less than the living wage, That's a fifth off there wage bill and that money goes straight on the bottom line, Why do you think the farmers made such a fuss about loosing foreign workers after Brexit, Follow the money and all becomes clearer. This country is f****d. all in the name of corporate profit.

  24. From my reckoning. Then Benzyl benzoate should do the same job, it causes paralysis in lice and mice the same as Duramitex did, You use to be able to buy 500mm bottles over the counter at most Chemists. If this proves to different then check out cures for sweet itch in horses at the local country store. They will probably contain Benzyl Benzoate.
