  1. Have you tried Andy Stratford, falcon green raptors, yet?
  2. il give them a try when it comes what do ya think of 12mm and 14mm lead with 1745 thats what i use with the tbg and i think there alot better than steel but that could just be me but lead has the stopping power I used to think the same. Lead = more stopping power. But 10mm steel has got speed and it's devastating. It doesn't just penetrate the head, it snaps the neck on impact. 12mm lead is the bull cross and 10mm steel is the deerhound. Both effective in their own right. But one is faster than a formula one car. So 12mm has got higher prey drive?
  3. It might be untrue......but, at the time, didn't they say the old man was playing tennis in the the afternoon of the first day she was reported missing??.......if so, that's quite chilled out, for a man who's just lost his daughter....
  4. I'd love to have a crack at a merlin..........but the general consensus seems to be that they start giving up on the flight after September/October........cracking birds though :-)
  5. That's the sort of weight I'd expect of a fat bird during the moult. That may explain her poor performance and why she never flew pheasants. The problem with some HH is that they'll still be tame at really high weights and may still follow on. They just won't be sharp or have much of a desire to chase. It would make a good discussion in the falconry section.......3lb Harris in Yarak??? ;-)
  6. I have no problem with BPR he shoots vermin with his catapult, and a very good shot he is. What I do have a problem with is people shooting game out of season. Mugging a Mallard in moult or popping off some half tame pheasant out of season is not really the pinnacle of ethics is it? To be honest it does not really require any skill as they are semi tame and you can walk right up to them, not to mention the fact that it is illegal. BPR in his videos shoots pigeon and rabbits non of which have a season, he has worked hard to get where he is shooting a catapult wise, many many hours of practice

Just had a week in Copenhagen, they've got a lot of things right up there.......
  10. 'I like the tree's.....' Walken doesn't get much better.........fantastic film
  11. The pubs/bars round here are shite, so that leaves brussels up the road for a decent drink, which is a bit of hassle...........so it's the house these days........ I do miss a nice country pub.....
  12. Yeah i know what it 'should' be.... i could always go with my ma? Struggle to go with both parents, dads been dead a few years now. drink drugs and women? Yeah i could contend with that, except the drugs. .. they aint for me.... only thing i ever tried was whizz, must of been shit it put me to sleep Lol...I probably won't be doing any more like that these days.........they won't be the best, but maybe the most memorable......most of the drugs I scored on lads holiday's were shite anyway.........that's where the self loathing comes in & encounters with whore's........all character buil
  13. A lads holiday should be drink & drugs & women every day & a bit of self loathing at the end............otherwise....go with you're parents or your mrs
  14. Yeh I'm the little guy..........but if you know all these people, you're watching way too much TV........

    Hi All

Can't add much to the good advice given already, but never settle for the land you've got, always look for more, you can't have too much & it's good for the bird to be in different places......that way, when you start getting invites, she shouldn't let you down because of strange surroundings......providing you've got everything else right :-) .....oh & seriously reconsider getting a second hand bird, you'll only want to do your own one day, so you might as well do it now! Good luck

    Old Age

I've only just started a family at nearly 40, I'm still in good shape, so plan on keeping on top of things for a good while yet, my old man is 73 & still going strong, he's keeps busier than me!........he was talking about getting a bull mastiff the other day, the mad old fooker...lol
  17. All that semi-acted, scripted american bullshite is just unbearable to watch........somewhere between sitcom & reality, but neither funny or believable.
  18. It's very much part of the family, it go's everywhere with guy, he has no day job, so it's out & about all the time.........to be honest I only know what I've seen & I'm relaxed around it......
  19. Just to clarify a little.......though I'm not sure why I'm bothering lol.......the guy in question lives in a not so nice area on the outskirts of Antwerp & he has possibly many 100's if not 1000's of €'s worth of BOP, & I must admit, maybe he's a little paranoid about the local immigrant community........ But anyway, I've been there on 3 occasions & each time he's known I was coming & each time we go through the same routine with the dog & she's good as gold........I would assume if he looks through the window/spy hole & doesn't know the person, then that dog would
  20. Golden valley for birds of prey, reasonable & very efficient.
  21. Was gonna say something similar..........but it's baw ......& I haven't got all day.....lol
  22. Did you see the other dog he was keeping in a cage in his back yard?.......that was the real guard dog for his house, I think they were both Mal typesyeh, think your right both mal types , both would do massive damage to you if they went for you . I think they might had bit of pit in them. I seen a pure bel mal working the sleeve with a x army dog trainer . its only when you see it real close up you see what these type dogs are really like (fookin dangerous animals) I gald my young dog Buck 1x gsd x grey soft , because with his size+power you would be in real trouble if he bite you , h
