Youcanthide....... kindly sent me this catty he made & banded for me.......I had a choice of styles & thought I'd give this a go...... I've only fired off a couple of practice shots so far, but it feels nice & comfy & nicely finished, I'd recommend them to anyone interested..... Thanks again mate, hopefully I'll bag something soon with it......;-)

To be honest pointer, if I was having a hawking holiday I'd want to be heading for the hills/fells.......it would make a nice change. Good luck with your arrangements.

I can't help with agree with most of that morton, maybe I'm one of the less resolute.......I've had a 3/4 greyhound 1/4 collie in the past & I'd quite like one again in the future, if I couldn't find a genuine one when I wanted it, could you blame me going to Hancock? I've never been to the place & it wouldn't come easy........but if I had little option....

If Hancock bred 1 litter a year of collie cross greyhound pups & gave them away, no one would be crying about the fact the parents don't work..... ....but he doesn't, it's a business & it leaves a bad taste in the mouth for some, but the conclusion about these dogs is the same for every other litter of lurcher pups out there........some are good, some are not...... If you can live with the ethics & take a pup at 8 weeks, can it really differ from any other litter you take a chance with?

Never appealed to me really,......I guess I'm an unsociable cnut & I can't stand cliques, so that kind of ruled clubs out for me, even though I did try once...... It does look a great experience for some though......

So with Mrs Accip74 away with the boy in France, visiting family, I was left home alone, free to do 'boys stuff'..... .....whilst relaxing on the sofa with a nice glass of Rioja, I noticed a couple of woodys on the lawn....the doors to the garden were already open, so with minimal fuss I reached for my catty & a marble, stood up, took a couple of steps & bagged this pidgeon with an 18m shot from the comfort of my living room....

I'd get bored way before the 100 mark.......but that's just me..... Exactly what I am getting at mate but don't think I'd ever see 100 in one night, must be some land to hold 100 rabbits although it does exist as I have seen tomo and tjones posts they do very well at the numbers game It's just preference mate really, my most memorable hunting experiences have little to do with numbers......I wouldn't of got into flying hawks if they were important to me.....lol
