I`m still using the JSB Exact Express 4.52, 7.87g since Mitch put me onto them some five years ago, i`m not sure if you have tried them yet Jimmy ? I find them extremely effective in accuracy and striking powering all my .177 rifles. Great to see you out and about Jimmy, shall I keep your shooting lessons booked ? xx

You best get a lot of practice in Mitch, surely they would want you to hit the target, wouldn't they ? x

The mending process begins. Great to see you out shooting Jimmy.

TX 200 HC MK3 .177 , after the crop damaging wood pigeons.
mark williams replied to mark williams's topic in Airgun Hunting
Hi Robo, I use the HW97 and TX 200 HC MK3 regularly for hunting, nothing between them buddy except for personal choice, they are both superb rifles. I bought the HW97 from a good friend on the forum Pianoman, ( Simon ) with highly polished internals, Sandwell Field Sports kit fitted and correctly lubed, a truly formidable hunting rifle. I bought the TX 200 HC and had a stage 4 tune done by Rat Works, absolutely outstanding hunting rifle also but for aesthetics I should and wish I had bought the Walnut stocked version. I prefer the carb -
Settled into the hedgerows with a full leaf suit on, camo draped over the primos sticks and the wait begins. The farmers gas bangers are firing every 15 minus to little avail. Here's the crops the pigeons are damaging/ eating, fields of oil seed rape, I didn't`t want to break cover so photographed through the trees. Here's the range and area I was shooting over. I had three in the bag inside an hour and the TX was really performing as well as it always does. I love the TX 200`s.

Far better grip, far better accuracy to be had with the traditional chequering than the juvenile delinquent stippling. x Only saying like.

Nice shooting Mitch Now "be a man" and try one of your sub 12 spring piston rifles on the squirrels/ rabbits, like you said you would.
-
No, no problems at all with Hawke scopes, as yet and I mainly shoot spring piston sub 12 air rifles . I am still using the Hawke Endurance L4 reticle scope with the HW97 I bought from you Simon and that combo knocks all before it down. The Hawke panorama 2-7x32 on my FWB Sport is another favourite hunting scope. The Vantage on my MK1 HW80 another. Air Max on my HW 100. Up to now no breakages to my Hawke scopes.( touch wood)

I remember talking to Tony Wall from Sandwell Field Sports about my TX 200 HC MK3, I wanted to take it a step further, tune it. At the time Tony said there was nothing to tune as they were superbly made out of the box and simply refused to take peoples money. My Pro Sport is untouched and is laser accurate. Two HW`s I own the HW97 and the early mk2 HW77 long are tuned, the 97 tuned/ highly polished internals by a gunsmith and fitted with a Sandwell kit, the HW77 long carries a full Sandwell stage 2 tune. -

Yep, I like to drop in on one or two other forums too, keeps things interesting. Must say though, I do prefer this forum to the others, it can be very informative on here and can also be thoroughly hilarious at times .

Prw900 lockdown tickle
mark williams replied to Baldcoot's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Aye up Lain, I remember a bunch of the lads at my club giving one of these rifles a right good test one night. They could not believe how good the rifle is for the money spent, proved to be very accurate indeed with power levels just under 11 ft/lbs out of the box. Enjoy buddy. -
Aye up lads, I believe the Pro Sport will be on offer with a left handed stock, in walnut very shortly. Just thought I`d put it out there.

Hi Mushroom, Sorry for the late reply, a cold smoker buddy with oak dust, way, way better than shop bought kippers.

Try a little smoking lads. Home smoked - kippers.

THE worst gun I`ve ever owned was a plastic Crossman 766 pump up rifle ,( is that right ? ) Feck me that gun was horrendous. As a school kid, the summer of 76, I was lined up at just 20 yards " ish "on a huge carrion crow and missed The crow was oblivious to me in the hide and stayed put, until - clack ! clack! clack ! clack! clack ! clack! clack ! clack ! clack ! clack ! me pumping that bag of shite up for a no chance second shot. Still angry !

Early MK2 HW77 long, .177.

Had a nice 3 hour session with HW 77 long today, slow going and bitterly cold but I loved every minute of being out there lads. The wood pigeons are still hitting the rape crops but getting near them is very trying, they are so, so Wiley, the Boom! Boom! boys had a full session on them last wednesday, with shot guns, got one shot off and that was it ! Check zero. So I thought I`d try last weeks tactics again, full leaf suit top to bottom inc` hands and head, Primos shooting sticks/ bucket seat and in amongst the hedgerows.
