Thing is, these elderly people were bought up without the restrictions of 'political correctness', unlike nowadays, and they would tend to say it how it was. They like to give people the benefit of their experiences, which normally comes with plenty of suggestions and advice. When I was 43, I was trying to dig out and remove a rather stubborn tree stump and roots in the front garden, which took a lot of graft over about 4 days, and an old fellow and his wife passed by a couple of times a day. They always stopped and surveyed the situation and gave their opinion regarding my progress, apparent

Haha.. some years back my brothers mate turned up at his house with his lad, who had his skateboard with him... "watch this"... broken ankle LOL. He lost quite a bit of work through it, who was going to take a doorman in a plaster cast seriously?

looks like badger shit to me aswell mate Lived here 18 years, no badgers around here. Front garden has brick wall either side 4ft high, and front has 5 gates with 4" gaps. 4 gates are in a bifold arrangement for cars to access, locked with a combination lock, and one for people access, which has a latch. Sometimes they sh1t on top of the wheelie bins. Definitely fox. Also get it in the back garden, which has 6'6" fencing, no gaps, have to be some f**king badger.

A Few Hours With My Princess.
Mister Gain replied to johnny boy68's topic in Fresh & Salt Water Fishing
Good to see , beats sitting at a console hands down. Was looking at some photos of my lad the the other day. He must have been about 3 when he caught his first roach. Found one of him holding a near 4lb bream when he was 9 or 10, I let him have a day off school for the glorious 16th June . Apparently you get hung, drawn and quartered for doing that now. -
Thanks for the offer, but the front garden is only 18ft long and an open view to anyone walking past, and we have 'Mr Grass' living opposite. Rear garden is only 42ft and viewable from all 3 sides from neighbours upstairs windows. Only have a sub 12tf/lb .22, don't have an FAC and very much doubt an application would be successful. Waney lap and featherboard ain't much of a backstop either Flavoured meat a bit indiscriminate as there are a few cats about. I know this because one of the fox feeding neighbours buys a large bag of cat food every month, and they don't own a cat, but cats are al

Well, the wife didn't enjoy clearing it up

I have lived at my current address for 18 years now, and in that time there has always been urban foxes mooching about during the dark hours. Obviously on the lookout for grub. Only thing is that they don't have to look very far, as people leave food out for them. Problem with them is that they are indiscriminate sh1tters. At least once a month we are greeted with a pile of sloppy fox crap to deal with. I have seen whole turkey carasses and all the trimmings left on the grass verge, and asked the person why they were trying to attract rats... "No, it's for the foxes". Told them they should

And Yet Another 'person' With A Knife In London
Mister Gain replied to Mister Gain's topic in General Talk
This bloke was no youngster, being described as 'a 40 year old black man'. I wonder, did he take a knife with him, or get the knife once inside the womans flat? Not that it makes any difference as ultimately he was putting the womans life at risk. The old bill had used a Liaison Officer, which failed, and they obviously adjudged him as a serious threat. I believe the armed response unit wear cctv now, and the IPCC are involved as a matter of course since Duggan's death. When my son was 18, he was robbed at knifepoint by 2 of our commonwealth cousins, because he happened to be walking past -
This one happened in Islington, and was shot dead by armed police. This place is getting worse methinks.. http://www.channel4.com/news/met-police-shoot-dead-knife-threat-man-london

They want to come here, and rape the system. Our government is quite happy to let them do it, if the last 40 years is anything to go by. The French are quite happy to turn a blind eye, cos they don't want them there. I can't see an end to it anytime soon.

I am one of those who saw (on TV) our greatest footballing achievement in 1966, at the age of 12. Certainly had an impact on my football, only trouble was that I assumed we would be doing that every 4 years World Cup Willie was not a disease Little did I know it then, but our national footballing performances would gradually falter to the degree it has today, just my opinion. I am glad that I was part of that era, as I feel it was the best English football played in my lifetime without doubt, and I certainly cannot see us achieving anything near that standard in the near future. To be ho

When I was a lad the term 'bunk up' didn't mean what it does now, and was used regularly, especially for scrumping or climbing trees... the term sort of stayed with me as I got a little older. bunk-up/ˈbʌŋkʌp/ noun a helping push or pull up. Anyways, I was in a shop, up at the counter and asked the woman if I could have a look at something on one of the upper shelves. Being a short woman, she couldn't quite reach, so as a pleasantry I said "what you need is a set of short steps, or a bunk up". The f**king look she gave me... I reckon I was glowing bright red... I just turned araou

Past hobbies, the ones I used to juggle around work... I played football till the age of 42, when I realised knocks and bumps were taking longer to heal. I've had a go at radio controlled model aircraft, making and flying. Used to cook a fair bit, and got p1ssed off eating commercial bangers full of crap, so started making my own using pork bought from a smallholding in Kent. I would buy half a pig and as well as an array of sausages, I got into dry curing bacon, curing hams and salamis, making brawn, home-made faggots are superb. Used to buy a lamb occasionally and would request the p
