  1. Glasses and a reading lamp to do the crossword, even with the main light on ! I have to sit down to put my trousers on in the morning, and does anyone else make funny noises when they tie their laces ? On the plus side, I'm still only on one nocturnal bathroom visit.....
  2. I didn't waste my time clicking the link, as I care nothing for the teachings or followers of a murderous, paedophlic, misogynistic death cult. Now if you'll excuse me, my dog Muhammed needs a pee !
  3. We didn't have a problem forcing chemical castration on Alan Turing's 'unnatural urges', and he was a true British hero, for god's sake!! A convicted paedo was awarded £20,000 the other day, after the father of his victim 'outed' him on Facebook. He claimed that FB failed to protect his privacy and protect him from harassment. Is it just me ........... ??
  4. As far as allegations against Cliff (and others) are concerned, I can only say that, however repulsive the crime you are accused of, you are entitled to a fair trial. If we lose sight of that, we may as well bu99er off a and join the savages !!
  5. he got hit with the book so the rest should get the same Absolutely agree ! I think this is the most heinous of crimes. In my view, there is no mitigation, no excuse, no explanation that can EVER make it anything less than utterly unforgiveable ! I don't generally support capital punishment, but in the case of offenders like this, I'm not so sure .............
  6. Defence barrister said, in mitigation, that he "can't walk down the street with out being the subject of vilification" Poor old soul !! He should have thought of that before he raped a 10 year old. No punishment is too harsh IMO !!
  7. I claim no expertise, but dogs have a faster metabolism and higher body temp than humans, so they'd need a larger or more frequent dose ??
  8. Do you want rice or chips with that? She handles a chopper well,mind.......(nudge, nudge!)
  9. Why do they keep calling him 'Jihadi John', as if he's a cuddly little character from kids TV ?
  10. I had a pair of light blue 42" bottom flairs with an 8 button waisband and patch pockets, coupled with 3" platforms or black and white wedge shoes, and a blue and yellow star jumper. What a c**t I must have looked Cheers, D. 42" ?? Wow !! My school trousers were just like those. My mum's mate used to make them for all the neighbourhood lads. Bottle bloody green !! Often worn with wooden-soled 'spoon' shoes ! Remember them ??
  11. Thanks for the tips and encouragement, gentlemen. Rest assured that even the smallest success will be shouted from the roof tops !!
  12. Carp and tench ? Not the usual deadbait takers, that's for sure !!! I'm new to the pike (I have accidentally caught a little jack), but I'm looking forward to my first proper catch. Nice day out at this time of year, if nowt else - banks are deserted !! Might try again tomorrow.........
  13. Deadbait and chips for tea then Can't even get have that - I use spinners and poppers ! River's well flooded, so that accounts for it, I reckon. Looking forward to having another go, mind !
  14. To add insult to injury, I spent a short period of my years with a bubble perm !!
  15. Hand-me-downs for me ! Pain in the ass, as I've got 3 sisters ! I remember once going out (to meet a girl !) in brown flairs with 36 inch bottoms (!),pink shirt and purple corduroy jacket with leather patches on the elbows - shirt collar over jacket, naturally ! The trousers were murder if the wind got you from behind........... My fashion sense hasn't improved much, but thank God my sainted mother didn't take a photo !
  16. Didn't hook a Zander,so didn't have to decide ! Didn't hook a pike either, so I'll have to have another try ! Nice morning out,though !
  17. Yeah,go on then ! Sorry, I thought we were voting on it ! Behave yourself and do as the PC says, you've got little to worry about .
  18. Looks like we've had it wrong all these years ! Think how the poor creature's name has been dragged through the mud....... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/science/11432641/The-black-rats-blackened-name.html
  19. I'm not a petrol-head,so I don't really watch it, but I do enjoy the 'specials'. The one when they towed a caravan to Dorset is one of the funniest things I've ever seen !
  20. 705 litres to be exact.....the Aqua 1250 canister filter is only good for about 250 litres,i dont know much about Goldfish but id imagine they,re reasonably hardy......tank seems a bit excessive for a few Goldfish .....and whats with the cups and saucers didnt you have enough gravel Apparently the more water the better with goldfish mate. They produce something like 4x as much waste as other cold water fish, they are meant to be a pond fish rather than a tank fish. I know people have kept them in bowls for donkeys years but they need a lot of space to really do well. I won one on Goose F
  21. Copied this from a Guardian article of 2011. Bit of an Eye-opener ? "In England and Wales as long as you are in possession of a £27 rod licence and have permission from the water's owner, the Environment Agency states that on any given day an angler may remove 15 small (up to 20cm) native species including barbel, chub, common bream, common carp, crucian carp, dace, grayling, perch, pike, roach, rudd, silver bream, smelt, tench and zander (non-native) as well as one pike of up to 65cm and two grayling of 30-38cm"
  22. See, a real pal would have posted a link, but obviously I've got to do EVERYTHING myself ! Honestly, you people..............
  23. My wife thinks I'm nosey - at least that's what she wrote in her diary AND texted to all her mates !

  24. Thanks Decker! I've a friend who's a 'keeper and he offered me one last year. Think I'll take him up on it next time !!
  25. I always put carp back ! (The 4 or 5 that I've caught anyway). Surely the list of 'non-releasables' is documented somewhere ??
