  1. An 8 inch canister was found in the doorway of Luton mosque today.Worshippers said they had no idea what it was. Turned out to be Lynx !

  2. I'm having a bash at pike fishing for the first time, before the weather warms up. I've got the gear and an experienced mate to help me with handling, but we keep having the same heated discussion. He says Zander should be returned alive, like other coarse fish, and I say that they should be removed, as non-native/invasive species (in the same way that its illegal to release trapped grey squirrels or mink). I've tried to research, but have only found conflicting answers,so who is right ? Cheers in advance
  3. Check out "Come bye !" On Sky 253 , mate.
  4. Some people are the architects of their own downfall. Idiot brought it on himself !
  5. News in the morning, then the good lady B watches it through the day. I try to be selective in what I watch, rather than just mindlessly absorbing 5hite, but I make a point of swerving the likes of Big Brother,TOWIE or any programme containing the word 'celebrity'.
  6. Mind your Language,Please Sir,Love thy Neighbour,Nearest and Dearest and Yus my Dear are all classics and deserve another airing, even if they have given my age away. (Philistines among you can find them all on JewTube) I also love Porridge,Rising Damp,On the buses and The Professionals and thankfully these are all still shown regularly. On a note of pure nostalgia,my favourite programme,as a lad, was Captain Scarlet !
  7. Was there any truth in the rumours that Bear retired to a comfy hotel at night, when he was filming one of his series ??
  8. A Muslim was on 5Live today, saying that in an ideal world, all gays would be hanged. I was shocked !- what's a Muslim doing in an ideal world ??

  9. Bit of a tangent, but has anyone ever eaten a Canada ? If so, are they any good ?
  10. I think it's a nickname his sister used, when he was a kid, and it's stuck ever since. I can't think of anyone LESS bear-like than him !
  11. You're thinking of Shaw Taylor on Police 5 (if you're old enough to remember it !)
  12. I'm beginning to think that's the point of this programme Socks, it shows the general population just how hopeless they really are without the modern technology/system to support them, your average sheep will take one look at this and count their blessings i reckon, suits the agenda of some people imo? And who chose them, and why? why choose veggies? Looks like they picked losers to start with to me? A point I've been trying to make. The best way to show how much 'old' knowledge has been lost, is to show people who are the furthest from it. So many times, they have struggled to use k
  13. I'd sooner have a good rifle You don't have to feed it. Mesolithic ("middle stone") age people had no metal tools !
  14. The paper is one of those handed out free on the tube down that London, I think. Don't expect miracles here............
  15. I still stand by my view that the purpose of the show is to show how 'soft' and lazy most Westerners have become. What's struck me most has been their lack of resourcefulness and ingenuity -their seeming inability to simply think things through first ! When you think about it, it's staggering how much knowledge has been lost in a relatively short space of time - watching a group of grown adults struggling to light a fire, a job that could probably have been given to a mesolithic child !
  16. What would be the point of this type of programme, if the 'contestants' were all survival experts ?? I think the main point of this type of show is to show how far removed we have become from what would have been everyday knowledge, only a relatively short time ago. Its interesting to watch how friendships and relationships change under adversity - if I want lessons in survival, I'll watch Ray Meats, but this isn't that type of programme !
  17. I have to give acknowledgement to Pam Ayres, but how I wish I'd written this .......... The missus bought a Paperback, down Shepton Mallet way, I had a look inside her bag; ... T'was "Fifty Shades of Grey". Well I just left her to it, And at ten I went to bed. An hour later she appeared; The sight filled me with dread... In her left she held a rope; And in her right a whip! She threw them down upon the floor, And then began to strip. Well fifty years or so ago; I might have had a peek;
  18. Notice how they did not have the balls to go one way or the other with it..... Very very neutral. Impartial is the best you can expect mate......Atb Impartial is a vast improvement on the usual coverage. Unbiased journalism ! Whatever next ?
  19. I reckon one of them must be that muslim lesbian. Yuseen Mamuff !!
  20. I'd have to agree that Sadaam, though a despicable human being, posed no real threat to the West,or to Israel. Bush and Blair tried to make the most of his 'links' to al-Qaeda - the only link was that they had tried to kill him on at least 3 occasions !
  21. A masked gunman has stormed the Celebrity Big Brother house and killed everyone. The victims have not yet been identified !!

  23. Have a look at the "Aldi withdraws soap brand" story at the bottom of the link !! Lunacy seems to know no limits.........
