  1. Definitely not ! It would be usurped as a second referendum. The £ and the markets have just about recovered, and the EU is coming to terms with our decision. The last thing anyone needs is more uncertainty...... Think I agree with this TBH, we need stability right now... It's a shame though because obviously Labour are in the perfect position to fight and win a GE campaign right now Joking aside, I would normally have said that the new PM should go to the country at the first opportunity, but I don't feel that the democratic process would be served by holding an election in the near

  4. Gove just finished any chance BoJo had. They're manoeuvring to shoo Teresa May in !
  5. What most annoys me is that, because of a small, idiotic minority, I am being lumped in with the knuckle draggers who think it is acceptable to abuse the elderly, women and children or to paint graffiti on community centres, simply because I voted "Leave". Most of the attacks have only been verbal thankfully, but no right-thinking person can condone the intimidation of women and children, surely ?
  6. That's where deselection comes in These MPs that have tried to instigate a coup against the leader can expect to be deselected by their CLP at the next election and then their constituents can decide if they want them to carry on as an independant or elect the new Labour nominee. That's probably JC's plan ? Stand firm amd rely on grass roots support. Then, when and if he's re-elected, replace the PLP with a little army of Corbynistas ? Vive la revolution !
  7. You probably know more about this than me, but heres how I see it... He WAS democratically elected by grass roots members of his Party, that is beyond question. I think that what IS being questioned is the nature of that membership. There was large scale entrism by groups, including SWP, in line with Militant infiltration in the 80s. They grouped together, paid their 3 quid, and got their man elected. Now, they seem hell-bent on remaking the whole Party in his image, even if he will never be PM while his ar5e points south ! The likes of Dave Nellist and Derek Hatton tried it in the 80s
  8. I'm just the messenger, mate. (The nickname should make my feelings clear about her !) Wasn't meant as a dig at you pal, rare instance of us being in agreement here! Tory MPs tell Scameron to stay, and he goes. Labour MPs tell Corbyn to go, and he stays. Me and you agree on something....we do indeed live in strange times !

  10. Happens regularly in Istanbul - bombs and shootings on a weekly basis. It rarely makes it onto the news, unless there's a big event , like this one, and foreigners are involved.Welcome to Istanbul....soon to be a member of EU ! It's funny you should say that, but I was thinking how little the coverage was on the news.......a little further west & there would have been nothing but this?Tragic waste of life as usual..... Also happens with frightening regularity in the likes of Pakistan and Afghanistan too. Also, not on our doorstep, so even further down the news agenda. Maybe ITN cou

  13. Unless someone puts their head above the parapet, and stands against him, there won't be an election. The talk is of that person being Angela Eagle......... you know........Angela Eagle ! .........me neither !
  14. His problem is that there are actually 3 Labour parties........ The Labour membership are predominantly Corbynistas. The Parliamentary Labour Party are predominantly Blairite. And a good deal of the Labour electorate voted UKIP ! He WAS democratically, that much is true, but the people who work with him, and may have to form a government with him, had him foisted on them. Looking at the result of the confidence vote, he barely commands enough support to form a shadow cabinet, and the remainder of his MPs see him as unelectable. So...."Grass roots popularity vs electability'.
  15. Daniel in the lion's den ! That's telling 'em,Nigel !

  22. I live in the east midlands mate I've seen my local towns traditional bread and butter factories move to 80/90% eastern European work force and walking through the town its unrecognizable to what it used to be your lucky to hear a English voice. The speed of the transformation was almost overnight so i couldent agree more but hopefully now with brexit we can have managble numbers. i would also like to see the end of zero hour contracts that discriminate against the native workforce and hold wages down and i think we should set a percentage of numbers of immigrants firms are able to employ....

  24. Cameron seems to have lost the power of speech, Osborne has gone AWOL and Her Majesty's Opposition is in disarray. It's been left to Mark Carney, the Governor of the Bank of England, to attempt to steady the ship and Tony Blair (!) to go on TV and answer questions ! What, in the name of sanity, are our 'leaders' doing ? Could the person in charge put their hand up please ?
