this was the vid i was looking for the other day, if only they said that before the indy ref.. Joe, Joe, Joe...... You can carry on spamming as many clips as you like, but here's the rub. If SNP had won the first referendum, you would have left the UK (and, therefore, all the institutions of which the UK is member, including the EU). Now, the SNP wants another referendum, to try to remain a part of the organisation that they would have been forced to leave, had they won first time around. Which is it, mate, because Wee Jimmy's flip-flopping is just a tad embarrassing to anyone who

That's assuming all 172 MPs that voted no confidence in him would split off to form another party, as unlikely as Corbyn losing the leadership election for the reasons I outlined in my reply to BlackBriar. Also assuming they would win the by-elections that would undoubtedly be called for... On that last point, can Labour MPs be deselected at any time, or just when a general election is called ?I'm thinking that there won't be an election until 2020, which might bolster the rebels, if they know the are safe until then ? It's done in the lead up to an election, under the current rules the CLP

Interestingly, during the Scottish independence referendum, the SNP campaigned for Scotland to leave the UK......and, therefore, no longer be an EU member ! (I've had to think for a while to get my noggin round that one !)

You're not the only one asking that pal The fact no well known heavyweights of the Labour party are standing against him shows they know they have no chance of winning IMO. The members are taking back their party If Corbyn wins, which looks very likely, he will have a group of MPs who effectively refuse to work with him. If those MPs then declare 'independence' from him, in a full split, they could then become Her Majesty's Loyal Opposition (by virtue of being the second largest party), and receive all the funding that goes with it........ Corbyn could find himself exiled to the back be

The former editor of the Sun has prompted a storm of protest, after commenting on a newsreader wearing a headscarf...... https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/1459893/why-did-channel-4-have-a-presenter-in-a-hijab-to-front-coverage-of-muslim-terror-in-nice/

Now THAT'S an idea for a referendum ! Who would you like to see publicly executed ? Hillary Clinton or Angel Merkel ? That would be a close one.......

See, know that one - End Of The World As We Know It - but when I was in the Boy's Brigade, I failed the Obersturmfuhrer badge, so I've never heard of RaHoWa ! I'm just gonna Google it ! -
Jezza has stated that he will be voting against, while the Shadow Defence and Foreign Affairs spokespersons will be abstaining. He has been forced into allowing a free vote, to play down divisions.Labour's PLP is often accused of not getting behind the leader, but here is a case of the leader not getting behind the party............

Later today, parliament will discuss the renewal of the Trident nuclear programme. The debate could open up MORE party divisions. There could be real problems for Corbyn, a rabid opponent of nuclear weapons, as the programme was first proposed by the last Labour government, and his PLP support it... SNP members will vote against renewal, thus threatening thousands of Scottish jobs.... Should be a lively debate.....

The more hear about Islamic State, the less I like them ! And WTF is RaHoWa ? A resort in Hawaii ? -
Watford also voted to stay in EU....independence for Watford ? If the result was flipped, and a Scottish vote to leave had swung it, against English wishes, would Wee Jimmy be quite so vocal on this ?

The fairest option would be to wait utiln the UK (of which Scotland is a part !) has left the EU. The question would then be whether Scotland wants to remain part of an independent Great Britain or not. If Scotland chooses to leave the Union, but wants to apply for EU membership, let them negotiate their own terms...... True independence will NEVER be achieved....Scotland has to be a member of the Union or of the EU......their economy is not large enough to be sustainable, without being propped up by a larger benefactor ! If anyone wants to follow Sturgeon down a blind all

Seeing Erdogan is buying oil via his son from Islamic State, I doubt there is any oil in Turkey. Turkey is thought to have massive reserves of oil and gas, both on and off shore, but as yet they are largely unexploited. Their geographical location could also make them major players in energy distribution, in the future.

Sounds very familiar........Turkey springs to mind !

The French can hold hands and cry for as long as they like, but while they have SIX different agencies dealing with security matters, they will continue to be vulnerable.

Opposition parties closed down, State controlled media and now a failed military coup. President Erdogan says the army "needs cleansing"......tells me all I need to know about life in 'modern' Turkey!
