    Other than the red filter they are garbage really, and by the time you have managed to wrestle the b*****d thing off your lightforce and dropped it on the deck (which is where I acquired a red filter for my striker one day when walking the fields lol) all attempts of gaining any advantage are lost. Best way is if two people lamping use filtered one to find and white beam to run on

    Finished work at 5 this morning and decided to give the young bitch a couple of runs on some small bumpy pasture fields done well to make 2 nice catches considering her inexperience of rabbit lamping and the amount of rabbits running in all directions. Myxy has hammered the rabbit population in my area the last couple of seasons but no sign of any so far this year just hope it stays that way it's about time they had a break from that putrid pus, atb to everyone for this season

    give it a go mate , but when you stop putting down will they be back, is it a problem you cant stop leave the bait station down permanently mate put it up against the fence out the way. Make sure you are sporting- chest waders, fire retardent gauntlets, hard hat, ear defenders, full face visor, gum shield and superman cape before entering the garden just to reassure the old girl

    Though i know what you mean, in the field there are too many variables BUT as said, a lurcher should ONLY be judged on what it catches and it dont matter how feckin fit you think your dog is, if it catches feck all, it's shite...! True Bosun after a long cold day or night out on the land a plate of boiled tatties, processed peas and little else beside is of no comfort regardless of fitness or fictitious bloodlines

    Peak of fitness can only be maintained for a very short period of time. That is why athletes be they human ,dog or horse are gradually built up to an event, any attempt to stay at peak fitness for a lengthened period of time can only result in a drop off in performance and or injury. As far as running dogs are concerned no amount of trotting alongside a bike or a car will put the topcoat on like getting behind a few strong winter ones

    Have'nt seen that lamp Dave, but im thinking of giving the cluson plr 500 a try, but as far as beam distance claims go i would'nt take too much notice the original lazerlite with its supposed 1 to 2000 metre range is nonsense

    I use the sediment from the bottom of home made ale buckets put a small amount into a few containers wherever needed clears the slugs in no time

    to be honest just move on he will no he can get his pick as prob get two or three guys knocking on his door every week offering there services free but what I would do is ask if I can give his name as reference for other farms in the area make him some game pies that he never forget He'll be looking down on his contorted cadaver if he risks sampling anything that bobza has had a hand in producing lol
