    my young saluki type has had a good 1st season as far as I am conceraned, about 15 months old now... had her picking rabbits up on the lamp at 7 months old although I wouldn't usually even think about starting at this age however, she just seemed ready. Absolutely rock steady on stock, enough pace/wind to pick up a few long ear, decent nose, marks, patient round nets, cleaver behind her quarry, hunts up daytime, jumps 5 bar, now has good recall day/night, good strike. main issue with the dog was recall on the lamp as she got very excited and fecked off if she missed, maybe something t

    cheer for the in put lads, as I have only ever kept running dogs my experience and knowledge is limited I this field, I have always fancied a cocker/terrier/beagle bushing type mongrel but haven't seemed to land on 1, because either I can't find any litters or a change in circumstances as last year I lost a running dog so ended up getting another lurcher pup. stating the obvious here but out of the intended pup I will try my best to train it to be as versatile as possible... general obedience and basics as good as possible, working cover on a variety of game, short/medium range, pi

    what line of plummers do you wreckon gaz?? like you tho wouldn't really want it dropping down to often, i think generally speaking a cocker might be easier to train, could be wrong...???

    i spoke to the breeder and prices are negotiable, i wreckon i could get down to £500, after all they are kc registered and come from what seems to be decent working lines, not that i know loads about gun dogs but i would be willing to pay for the right pup... love the stamp of a pure cocker and like there high energy excitable temperaments, beautiful looking also, trying to keep my options open but you know what its like when your looking for summert...
