Don't think island dwarfism happened here at all, due to us being connected to mainland Europe right up until the last ice age ended and the sea level rose and formed the English Channel. -

Not a chance they should be released. They disappeared for a reason on this island and any wolves reintroduced would be different to the ones that originally evolved here in a country very different to what it is today. -

Not unusual at all, happens regular! Quite hard to get the village and small town rugby and football teams together these days with the way peoples work commitments are now. Well I thought it sensible to at least try and put some sort of H & S in place! Mini car crash scenes on the hearth was another good one, compete with flaming petrol trails made with my old mans expensive aftershave!

Used to empty the shot out my old mans shotgun cartridges as a kid and chuck them on the fire! That was fun! There's a lesson about leaving your ammo securely locked away in there somewhere, probably a good idea they buffed up the laws..

They should devolve English issues to an English parliament, the House of Commons is the seat of the UK government and should only be used for issues relating to the UK as a whole.

Its not just about the market though Ben. Think of a gurkha with his knife. Now he'll invest a lot of time over the years keeping it sharp and clean and ready, yet he may never use it in anger. The point is its there and ready if needed. The more we start relying on other folk, the more we loose the ability to reign them in. Everything we loose to the likes of the Chinese and Russians strengthens them and weakens us at the same time. Its said commies lost the cold war, me I just think they've changed tack.

I wouldn't call for wholesale nationalisation but surely they could look at things on an individual basis and step in and back out as required? The capability and skills we'll loose if the industry goes from these shores are priceless, so what if we chuck a couple of billion quid "down the drain" to keep them. Take the current situation with Russia for instance. Yeah we currently got unlimited access to cheap Chinese steel, but who knows what the future holds. We could get into a situation quite easily where we were denied açcess to it. Then you can think about the way the big supermar
