    john most of the quality bulbs are expensive, i'd say 8 or 9 quid isn't expensive, as some i've seen for other lamps go to about 16 to 20 quid..... Snap.

    bert you've made a good decision in the .243 for a dual purpose calibre..... i've neck shot fallow at over 230 yards dropped no prob's, boiler room at 282 yards, i'm not here to blow smoke up my arse or anything just put a fair point across, that if you can place the round were you point the muzzle, things do tend to fall over..... i've taken foxes at over 400, longest being 437 yards so far..... get to know your dopes, practice, and i'm sure you wont swop it.... best of luck....     If buying from an unknown source check to see if it was a range rifle or a hunting rifle, or both, check for a damaged crown, pitting in the barrel, And also if thinking of buying get it borescoped.......!!!! i'd always try and buy secondhand from someone i knew with the gun.... then you know what its done, but a dealer who'll return if your not satisfied, is equally good.... Snap.
