good luck with that one...............

really opened up the discussion this topic has...... Another thing to think off is hit rate..... for theory's sake... take MR fluffy sitting at 200 yards if you need to fire 2 or 3 shots to hit him thats 60p from what costs you want to achieve..... now for arguments sake, you use a .204 lets just say 1 bullet, reloading cost say 26 to 30 pence.... you knock that sucker over on the first shot..... thats a considerable cost saving, and you have the ability to extend the range you take mr fluffy at by a big margin over the hornet.... So theres lots to think about

it does take time to develop an accurate load but once you have it, you have accurate bullets until a little throat wear appears.... which can be over a very long period of time with a mild shooting load.... Why do we want different things because we are human, we always want a something a little special.... just for us.... NO matter what the calibre, there will be always someone looking to achieve something that little bit special... its personal.... best of luck mate... i'm looking forward to some nice pics hopefully soon... Snap.

that was a swift post, if they were only posted yesterday, And indeed the ammount of work i've seen the ladies put in was simply mind blowing... Hats off to them..... they got the job done, All they need now is the backing, I just get so mad when i see the size of this site and the ammount of intrest generated, and they have to half the order just before printing..... i mean 20'000 plus members and less than 100 sold so far..... but i'd like to say also fair play to the people who have given so far, makes the effort the ladies put in at least a little worth w

Midland Gun company 12g 3shot semi
SNAP SHOT replied to CUPCAKE118's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Also to add, why not strip the gun completely, i do each and every time i'm out, that way nothing left to chance..... hope you get sorted mate... Snap. -
i simply can't understand why some don't rate the .243 as a deer round, its shot everything for me i've pointed it at... in fact i went to great expense getting a semi-custom built and guess what i stuck with the .243 win...... If its a general truely dual purpose calibre your after the .243 is up there with the rest..... long range vermin and deer..... one of the most popular calibres in the world means it has to be doing something right.... BUT.... Its all down to personal choice..... shoot a few different calibres if you can.... then only you can decide,

Midland Gun company 12g 3shot semi
SNAP SHOT replied to CUPCAKE118's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
i've also seen paper cartridges jam in the semi auto's as they tended to be a little longer when fired... but i'd never had a problem in my browning cycling, but my mate can't use below 32g in his semi auto... Snap. -

SNAP SHOT replied to CUPCAKE118's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
What weight load you firing, as i know in some semis the 28g load will not cycle fully so try some 32g and see if you have been shooting the 28's.... Snap. -
you are all to right that it is easy to sit and access the situation from behind the keyboard, but how would he have felt loosing both.... its really a no win choice, but i believe he made the right decision, as one life spared is better than none.... And as you say swampy, you would of tried to save the child, but lets hope we never have to make the decision... ATB. Snap.

i've seen triage care, and why does every major incident care centre use it........ Because it works.... I do hope he gets the help he needs Asap.... Someone said 4 mins to brain damage in a comment, thats IF she hasn't gone underwater, and cannot be found.......by the time he tries to get to the son, water is very disorientating and in a situation like this your not gonna think to take reference points as to your position and the others.... its something that will live with him, all to sadly.

avira, never had a problem since i used it..... also download cc cleaner and run it once a week, and spy bot search and destroy.... highly recommend them.... Snap.

the wife was outta the car swampy, and the son was in the car as the car was sinking, knowing that he may end up loosing both trying to save his son..... he took the option of saving his wife who could be saved......!!!! logic would determine that saving one, rather than loosing both was the right decision..... A tough heart rendering call but yes i think he made the right decision.... Snap.

i don't think any of the sps range come with screw cut barrels, however syss, have made their own version of the A-tec mod.... and its keenly priced, i think around 225 for the mod and the screw cutting.... i couldn't recommend there service highly enough. Snap.

ATB. Snap.
