my mark3 was making strange sounds & giving eratic readings the other day every now & again..... then i realised i still had my mobile in my pocket. it makes it go crazy. turn your mk3 on & call up voice mail to open up the signal, listen to your receiver go mental. all mobiles send out an occassional signal now & again to pickup & stronger signal. from now on i leave my mobile well away.

their positioned along side either side of a hedge or an area to surround the set...... enter the ferrets & wait for the bunnies to run into the nets & get caught. they come in handy especially when its impossible or hard to place purse nets. one tip though is to place a 6 footer, depending on width from one side to another, running through the hedge as sometimes the bunnies wont run straight into the net & end up running along the hedge row. i normally lay the longnet 1 metre from the hedge... it works for me. trial & error. richie

deker my rimmy doesnt have any kick back. i can either place my eye right up against the eye piece which is rubber or keep my eye an inch back the same as looking through any scope... if you were to put one of these on a centre fire you just get the longer eye relief... if you end up with your head too far back just get lean forward mounts.. this setup for me is perfect.. best bit of money ive ever spent.. richie

got out this morning bright & early, f**k me was it cold ... decided to visit the set i worked last weekend to see if i could pick the last remaining. last time i placed purse nets on around 20 or so holes which took abit of time with all the crap in the way so i decided this time the long net was coming out. the set is roughly 45yds long so i chucked a 100yrd round it. loaded my shotty & sat back to get some bolters. after waiting about 15 minutes i had the first bolter which shot out & straight back down another hole it was too quick to get an aim on him, another 10 minute

i recently sold my ruger 10/22T which i used for competitions & for vermin. eley match is what my rifle prefered for club shooting & winchester subs for vermin. it hated eley standard & eley club & i would get a grouping of around 3/4" which in tournament shooting is unacceptable. as for vermin, it would shoot accurately out to 90yds using winchester subs so i didnt feel the need to change to any other subs as i believe if it works dont try to fix it. with my cz varmint its the total opposite, so maybe eley subs are the way forward. im picking up a box of rounds tomorrow &a

the eley grouping looks good. im off this saturday to take a few boxes, first ill try them at the club on the card, then ill try them on the field. ill post the picture of the results with the eley subs mid week. i dont think ill be buying any more winchesters after my batch has gone, they vary too much.

took my cz varmint to the club at the weekend just to throw some different ammo down range as a quick test... the first i tested was winchester subs which i use on the field. i shoot out to ranges of up to 90 yards with good results, but have the occassional flyer when the bunny gets away even though i know my sights & my distances, but think how the hell i missed my target. 9 times out of 10 im either shooting from the motor on a stable rest or lying on the deck using the bipod. all cards were shot at 25yds and zeroed in on a sighter... winchester subs had 1/2" grouping o

the weirdest colour i ever caught was a orange & blonde colour with a scruffy coat.... then when waiting above the set managed to hand pick 3 of its young that all fitted into one palm,they were all the same colour, would of had the forth aswell untill my ferret came flying out & dragged it back in..

you might aswell try shooting a brick. their only suited for FAC rated weapons. would be totally useless in a sub 12lbs.
