  3. cheers steve.... its a good feeling when you see the trap set off.
  4. i visited a patch yesterday that im doing a clear up job with the moles... the garden is about 4 acres or so with mole damage spaced out all over.. there hasnt been any activity there for a while now as ive had a handfull out from the main garden, but when i got there yesterday & noticed that there were 2 new hills 3 metres from the fence line.... i set 2 duffus traps, 1 between the 2 hills & 1 just after the hill about 12 inches away in a dead end tunnel that i take it he was just working on.. i went back there this evening & bingo ! got him in the dead end tunnel..
  5. probably the best reply yet..... took the words right out my mouth. private garden i charge between £100 to £150 to clear a warren. when i leave i back fill all the entrances & i offer a courtesy visit the following week just to see if anything has made its way back. after this i would strongly advise that the put some kind of prevention up to stop the warren been occupied again so their not back to square one. richie
  6. couldnt tell you, but whatever or whoever laid it must have a sore arse !!!
  7. i know how you feel with the one shot ! with the pump it cycles nigh on as fast as a semi. especially as its only a .410 the kick back is none existant so the next shot can be pulled straight away as the aim doesnt really change " i hope that makes sense ".. like when youre firing a 12g semi the kick can be quite hard & the shotty tends to go high after each shot so time is taken to get aim again.
  8. it stands me in short of £300... i dont think i would ever get rid of it.. its a good fun gun, especially for a rough tool..
  9. trappa.... what sort of .410 set-up have you got ? i use to have a single shot hushpower pedretti .410 the two problems were it was only a one shot & it was a bit of a bollock ache when you had to re-load in a hurry, especially straight after a shot was taken as the cartridge seemed to swell up & a bit of effort had to be used in getting it out. i ended up getting rid of that & got myself a .410 mossberg, 3 shot pump with hushpower attached.. always handy when more than a couple of shots are needed. it never misses a beat. i use 3" magnums. very quiet, & comes

  14. Your spot on, but i wondered how that pest control chap off that TV program manage to shoot two foxes at night with a night sight in that's chaps built up garden ???? i was going to mention that.... hes from county pest control, ive spoke to him a few times on the phone a few years back. i called him to pick his brains on fox control after seeing him in a news paper add surrounded by 25 or so dead fox`s laying around him. i remember in the programme on tv, he baited up a place in the middle of the garden & waited for the two fox`s to appear, then one after the other took
  15. if i use four ferrets, they will all have one on them. ferrets can go in different ways from each other, especially when you work a large set that could be a hedge row with joining tunnels.. personally i would never enter one of my ferrets down without a collar on, others will say different.
  16. i cant call myself a mole trapping expert, far from it as ive only started out recently with trapping moles. the main reason why i got into it was that im getting asked more & more if i can take on mole clearing work. i done a basic course when i done my safe handling course of phostoxin with killgerm. they included the mole trapping course to it probably to kill time & justify us being their all day, anyway it was worth it. my only experience when it comes to trapping moles is using the original A.FENN scissor traps, & ive got to say i get on with them well. the 2 ti
  17. their not original A.FENN mk6, their cheaply made immitation crap. did you buy any of them ?
  18. buy this ferret harness & use he strap that goes around the body to put the locator on for the hobs neck. i was out on saturday & i had a bit of grief putting the nylon mk3 collar on my hob as its too small, it just fitted on the last hole. so today i used the larger strap off the harness i have that i will use next time for his neck. ebay item no: 250217175412
  19. i just read the question at the bottom of his ebay advert.... " Your car is shit and you write like a c**t! "
