Dogman I made mine ,s/h 4x2 , seconds 100mm celotec ,few sheets of white plastic as a liner, quarry tile floor , s/h cold room unit , the most expensive thing was the engineer who re gassed it & commissioned it .He charged me £350 , the whole thing cost about £600 but it will take 10 at a push ,before that it was the drinks fridge which was ok for a roe but to small for the fallow .

Bigthug they are very effective I recon to shoot 50percent of my total from a seat .I've often moved a seat or put a new one up & scored first time out .That's not to say every thing is easy , its not .You will still need to put in the time to see what & where their moving , what time etc . This will change as well , one week you have them , you know where they will be only for it to all change the next , so be prepared to move it from time to time or have a few of them . I have three or four of the Summit ones , I have been getting about 5 years out of them before major work , the j

Found a .22 rimfire revolver when I was ten on Southend beech ,played with it for a few days then my old man looked at it and told me to take it to the nick in Bow Road ...The copper told me what it was & said I couldn't keep it but never batted an eyelid , 52 years on how much shite would hit the fan if a ten year old handed one in today...!

It needed more realism ,a one legged parrot with an eye patch standing on the pirates shoulder (who hasn't even got a fcukinf earring in) would have been nearer the mark ..!!

I think really good heads in wild fallow are a rare thing , but one of the best I ever see was almost black .Sadly my stalking neighbour (when I lived in Essex),,,, thought he looked better hanging on his wall so never had much time to pass on his genes .It would need a good black to muscle in & be dominant for a couple of years to sort the head problem , it may be one of the does pass on the colour gene to a good buck .
-
Just a variation in colour , same as the black ones. On the place where the white ones are the farmer didn't want any shot , he liked them , so for six or seven years they were left alone which has obviously helped them .Now their back on the menu any poor ones will be culled.
-
one of my places the white ones are really common , often see 3 or 4 in a group of a dozen .They really give there mates away in the winter ...
-
Bolster , just a colour , they range from pure white through to black .There has been a dominant black buck around for a while & these are his off spring ,

Having had visitors all weekend I never managed to get out , so this evening I was out early ,up in a seat by 5.45 pm on a permission 4 or 5 miles from home , they have just finished cutting the maize & were busy drilling winter wheat in the opposite fields so it has been fairly busy over there , but this hasn't really affected the deer they have still been showing in the afternoons , laying out in the sun & grazing the field edges .Just a few does & fawns wandering in & out the wood this evening , I was just about to up sticks when out trotted this fella ,seems to be a lot of
