It's never bothered me - I know one of mine, and the others are guess work as to exact breed/percentage. They are lurchers at the end of the day - if they have decent feet, a good attitude and the will to hunt, they will be ok at what they do. I don't think knowing that there is collie in them makes me think they ought to be clever, but it does make me adjust the methods of training/handling them I think. A friend of mine has a saluki x grey, who has poor ( and I mean really poor ) recall - but apparently that is " the saluki in him" and is somehow acceptable, where as I think it wouldn't be -

The farmers round here are really struggling, and have been very twitchy about seeing any dogs near their land, let alone loose and on their land. I don't agree with the threats, but I can see why some could end up driven to putting up posters and loosing tempers. This time of year, I avoid taking my dogs anywhere near.

Everybody thinks your joking,i know youve allready got one booked,deposit on the way?. Hell yeah - my merles are on Preloved, £50 each, but to be honest, I'll just dump them to make room I want to comb those ears ! he died 6yr ago Was it that long ago ? sheesh ! time flies unless your dead I'll stop counting when I am ! i wish thinking about this the other night and ive decided at my funeral i want, the clash "should i stay or should i go" on the way in and the jam "going underground" on the way out, mind you ive not made my mind up if going myself yet or not I'm having those two tracks plus the ASexPistols 'God save the Queen'---'no future, no future for me! do you think the vicar would be offended if i had friggin in the riggin instead of the lords my shepard Depends if he knows you

i tried that earlier you wouldn`t believe what came up :laugh: You think thats bad. A girl at the yard was needing a new tack box for her Man 8150 horse lorry, asked me to look on internet for her. I did a search for "Man parts" and it really wasn't what I was expecting

Check with the mortgage company - if you rent it out, they may want to change the mortgage from "home owner" to a "buy to let" which may have different rates, and affect the sums you are working with. As for deposit - not sure, but the rented house value would be used to cover it's own mortgage, so they may not want it to be used as deposit for a second one.

Have you got enough work for 3 lurchers/ whippets ??? personaly I,ve 3 in the house and to be honest its too much, wife keeps nipping my head to get the kennel built, I tend to think though dogs that are kept in the house develope a much better bond with you not true mate, its the same b*llocks as bitches are more loyal than dogs I disagree mate, if the dogs in around your feet rather than out in a kennel I reckon the dog will get to understand you better if you like, wouldn,t make much difference say out lamping but out ferreting/ mooching I think it makes a difference, you can read t
