  1. How lovely to see decent people making an effort in a time of need.
  2. If the dog isn't microchipped, make sure you get that done before the rabies vaccine, or it won't be valid. Mine took about 45 days from getting the rabies jab, to getting the results from the blood test 30 days later, then they were fine to go.
  3. I'd stay with what I have now. Never been into anything other than what can fill the pot - and these do fine. ( collie x whip x grey )
  4. Nice - bet you are proud, and looking forward to the future
  5. Fair amount around this way, I avoid any areas that I know are high risk, even though I know mine are jabbed. Mostly parks and high dog popular areas though, very little off the beaten track.
  6. Mine are laying pretty much daily, 3 of which are the same sort of age, and they have all got the hang of it now, although one insists on laying in a bush, rather than coop. If they are free range, check hedges/bushes.
  7. People don't want to wait for anything anymore - we have a "now" society - the art of seasons, animals or veg/plants, is disappearing. People want a 7 month old pup to be catching rabbits, and they certainly don't want to be told it isn't the right time of year to be doing so. Being seasonal is a lost concept, now everything is available all year round.
  8. I didnt hear it mentioned til it overtook mine going to the last - sod ! Never mind, all horses are fine, that's a result for me.
  9. If only I was further away... hes far, far away So I see ! *no sleep lost*
  10. Should have had them the other way around ! Still, I was right - out of pocket !
  11. If only I was further away...
  12. The 2 "youngsters" are 3, rising 4 now, and improving each season ( IMHO ! ) They are not world beaters, and I doubt many people would give them kennel room, but they please me, and that is all I ask from them. The 3 oldies are all in double figures now, and have earned a space on the sofa until the end. 5 is my limit, so until there is space, no more puppies. ( ETA, I hope everything is ok Baw )
  13. On his own EW, and teaforthree OTN so that's me out of pocket !
  14. Lovely ! That black dog with white points is fantastic
  15. I'm biased, but a collie cross is just my cup of tea
  16. More like it Great pics, both sets.
  17. Only 1 pic of Ruby, and no Boots ? I'm thinking favouritism. Ah, the days when it felt like school summer holidays lasted about 5 months... and now time does just fly !
  18. Aw bless her ! Hope she settles nicely and puts some well needed weight on eta - please consider the offer of financial help from people here, lots of us would, and it isn't charity - it's people helping - like you did

    How Long

63 to 67 days is normal, and up to 5-7 days over can be fine - bigger dog breeds and smaller litters seem to go over more frequently. If she is fine in self, keep monitoring her, and if she hits 5 days over, I would be getting the vet to check her. Good luck - I'm saying 6 pups, 4 boys, 2 girls
  21. staples in whippety thin skin, especially there, can often cause more problems than they solve. In that area too, the amount of movement, and pressure from legs when the dog is walking/moving/laying down mean the staples can move about more, and get loose. Superglue, or a combination of superglue and steristrips works well. yes, if it needs stitching, they'll need to cut the dead edges off first. if it doesn't look infected, then the other option is to let it heal on it's own - especially if it has been open / semi-open for a while. You can get things like intrasite gel from chemist -
