  1. Well said - as always - a horrible situation, how do we understand it, if we can, such a terrible act.
  2. I "liked" it because of the "not knowing bit" not because your cat died - just wanted to say.
  3. The program is tough viewing - both parents try to commit suicide, and no one thinks to investigate ? or take the kids away for safety ?
  4. Good Unbelievable. And he didn't even seem to be sorry.
  5. I'm sure she is far too busy trapping rats in the garden, trying to work out if her camera has a "sports" mode that will stop her pics looking like Paulus took them, and trying to outwit the chickens, in the Battle for the Vegetable Garden Other than that, I am sure she couldn't possibly comment !
  6. Why not put something on the bottom of the gate to stop fingers and muzzles meeting. The dog is defending it's territory, and a child shoving a hand into the garden is going to cause problems. Teach the kid not to shove hands under the gate, or stop him from being able to do it. Not apportioning blame to anyone, just seems sensible to not allow a kid and a territorial dog to meet.
  7. Haha thank you! Yeah I hope there are many more to come! I imagined him to be really excited and go mad after having his first bunny, don't know what other peoples pups have been like. He was panting for ages and I have been taking him out a few times recently at night and have slipped him on some rabbits and when we come back he gets really restless and pants loads. I wondered if it's just being over excited and he's still pumped full of adrenaline or if it's fitness... The fast pulse and panting of the adrenaline come down - and then the long sleep after ! Dipstick can easily ha
  8. WTG ! I bet you are proud - isn't it lovely when they achieve something like that. I know I get all misty eyed and a bit daft when one of mine makes me smile ! ( oh, and you may want to edit the " he looked like we was drunk" - unless you were, obviously ! )
  9. Lara your Too Nice . . I've Been In A Situation Like That Bloke And Him Doing That Is Disgracefull And There's No Excuse , Spent Nearly 12mths with my Son In Intensive Care And You's Deserve Gold Medals From What I Witnessed . . Real Special People . So sorry to hear about your son :-( I hope it ended well. No, there is no excuse, at the end of the day he needed to take out his anger on something, and it was me - and it was wrong, but the circumstance he was in was so terrible it was what happened. I wouldn't have dreamt of taking him to court - let alone tripping over something and hurti
  10. eggsactly what I was thinking!! This is clearly no yolking matter Eggsactly.
  11. It's so sad :-( like emergency workers don't have enough to contend with without people like this dragging us down. It just makes us look like money grabbing muppets - and the vast majority of us are nice people. I've had an annoyed patients relative follow me to my car when I finished my shift at 0200 - he hit me and broke my nose - I didn't sue him - sheesh, he had a daughter who was so close to dying it wasn't true - nobody can explain their actions in such circumstances - and to sue for tripping over a ferkin curb is just a joke - and makes us look bad.

I pay £74.... And I don't have most of the channels. Going to make a phone call this week. Youve got something else multi room ,internet ,or phone ?. thats probably the bill to all those internet chat rooms your in ?. or your paying for being out in the sticks Thats a good point - I have one tv, and I am an antisocial miserable cow who never speaks to anyone, so phone bill is pretty low too - maybe that helps !
  13. funny you should say about constipation, i have litteraly just got back in from letting her out on the garden for the loo, after a few unsteady steps and a very awkward squat she had the biggest loosest s''t i have ever seen any dog expell she then wandered around for a few more minutes and went again wich was as normal and then came to me tail wagging and seeming happier for the relief .....although she seems happier in herself she is still staying indoors for the night and watched carfully, untill the morning unless she turns for the worse wich will be an immediete drive to the vet Good

Depends on the deal - channels, phone, internet etc can all make a difference - and bargain, they want your custom - they will give discounts. I pay about £40 for tv, phone and internet ( I don't have all the channels, the calls are free after 6pm, internet is unlimited but slow at peak times etc ) but it suits me.
  16. A few at the yard I keep the horses at - but there is still snow under the hedges !
  17. Hind end weakness has many causes - and as Skycat rightly says, it is impossible to tell over the internet, and shouldn't be. Possible causes are nerve damage, anal glands, constipation, muscle injury causing spasms etc - without examining the dog properly, you don't know. All of the likely causes need to be checked by a vet - as has been advised.
  18. genetically yes - you are mixing parent with offspring - you are going to have a limited number of genes whichever way round it happens.
  19. Depends on the bitch - a small dog is likely to have matured a lot more at 6m than say a DH type - so growth, development and temperament can be affected. The younger they are the less risky the surgery. A lot of rescue charities routinely do them at 6 months, some even as young as 4 months. There is no real evidence that letting a bitch " have a season" makes any difference to development though.
  20. It's in-breeding which ever way you do it - parents genes and offsprings genes - for as many people will say it can " fix " a trait, there are those who say it just leads to genetic mutations and problems.
  21. Lovely - especially the second one with the stuff in the far background
