    I was'nt impressed by him leaving his dog to wander the streets when he was at work!

    We use to use drainage rods at night around grain stores.We could see the rats in the cavity above and rod the cavity and the rats would up then run up and we would bat them onto the grain.Don't know if thats an option.

    I think David Hancock is writing his way through the kc terrier breed book,he is a bullmastiff man,not a working terrier man.Met him once,nice guy though.

    We saw some xmas week,then it really hit us in late february.In a lot of places where we have never seen it before.So could bugger us up for next season.We had some lambing calls in April which are the first for years,so maybe that was because a lack of rabbits.I don't know.

    I believe Ted Adsett was a good southern terrierman.What various people told me.

    Under a small chapel,as congregation kept hearing thudding rabbits during prayers.So Ferrets ,nets and dog were needed to be called in.We had 11 in total I think.We also were called in to a special school garden,after they had put rabbit fencing up to keep um out.Not realizing at the time that the rabbits were living under the sheds.

    Stopped 3 weeks ago,most crops are growing quick around are way.Odd lambing call,but that is it ferreting and lamping wise.

    Plummers do come in all shapes and sizes some as small as 11" and some big dogs at 16",I've owned them all.Sam if its a Plummer you're heart set on,then ask and watch.All the various groups will give you there sales talk.Open mind as well a ears.If its an allrounder then a plummer is for you.Earthdog only then a Patterdale etc.To use a Plummer solely as a earthdog would be a waste of its other talents in my opinion.

    I think bb i right.I've owned a fair few and still have a couple.As allrounders,they are great,but if its just an earthdog.Then a patterdale is probably better. The better earthdog lines are Coalville(not that many about now) or REmlap from source.

    A few years back a guy bought a pup of me then tried to haggle me into selling one of my terrier bitches.At one point he put £1000 cash on the table!She was'nt for sale regardless of the cash.But some people will put there hand in pocket for the right dog.

    They always see their days with me or a few have gone to live their days out with my parents.As someone once "work um hard,treat them like heroes"

    Just been reading the thread,and wondering one how fast across the ground are they?And are most Wheatons not dog friendly?Also crossing them with a greyhound does this make them more user friendily regarding other dogs?

    RS would rather put them down rather than let them go to a working home.About 15 years ago they had appeal on tv to take off there hands over 20 ferrets.I phoned up,they said no thank you because they were not for working.My wife phoned up 2 days latter to try again(no mention of working).They said they had to pts as of no interest! I have had two via rs who dumped them on my sister in law who runs a kennel(and boards some rescues dog for um)the inspector had'nt a clue.So she had to phone me up,to ask how to look after them! When she said they were going to me(and I rabbit with them)they said
