    Another the question. My lurcher has been out of action prior to this with a cut pad for four weeks,and was hoping to start getting him fit again for his first season. Once the cough has gone how long should I wait before I start a gradual fitness regime,so I can get him lamping.

    Just read this thread,as my three dogs have it, one had it but seems to be recovering, one had it for 5 days and the lurcher got it yesterday. I hope to have a pup in 8 weeks of a mate in 8 weeks time( if born ok this weekend), will it be ok to have pup in 8 weeks time?

    If you live in Buckingham town,you have one of the oldest ferret clubs there.It use to be run by the late Dick Hawkins. Contact them,they will have kits with one of the members and possibly free.

    I got one the same cross and exactly the same age,they are really nice natured laid back creatures.But already showing a great deal of hunting instinct.I would recommend this x as a pup,don't know how they will be when pup,but I got high hopes.I think this pup a bargain.

    Dug my old lurcher out once,I was'nt best impressed and I think he was'nt once he realised he was stuck. Never did again,always waited for the terriers after that. Dug hounds out few times.
