  1. Chancy dog here boys, well 'bread'... DM for price
  2. This year, it seems more than most, there are so many adult dogs for sale on the Facebook pages. The disposable dog brigade really have upped their game this year, with some decent animals, with video, trials and pedigree all looking for new homes. Now, I'm not knocking this... For me it's the most interesting bit on those pages, as it used to be on here many years ago too. And it was definitely the best part of Shooting News, EDRD and before them the good old Exchange & Mart. I'm certain there is many a fine animal out there, in this easy come easy go world, and if your not
  3. This stuff is ok'ish. From Home & Bargain
  4. Yeah, used it for a while now
  5. Huge fan, love a drop of that...

    Pet hates.

Pet Hates... Last time I posted on this was 100 pages and for years back, and I still hate Gemma Collins... Here's a few dog hates... Jackers - and i've owned a few... Path Shitters - dogs that always have to crap further up the path you are walking, no matter how much open land around them. Kennel Whiners - those mutts that sort of do it on the sly, and it takes a minute or two to realise. Lead Reactives- I've got one now, total happy go lucky shithouse with other dogs when off a lead, and a random lunatic on one. I could go on, but...

    Swimming

I've worked for 38 years in local authority leisure facilities. Managed swimming pools for over 30 years. Many council pools are now on their arses, just as the councils that run them are... 30 years ago the government passed a little bill called CCT commercial competitive tendering, and new companies were formed to run council services. Leisure was one service that many councils were happy to farm out on huge contracts, and the 'new management' bled them dry. Councils turned a blind eye on what was happening in their centres, lack of investment, cutting staff & wages etc, but th
  8. That last paragraph is just about perfect mate, with any type of mutt...
  9. Well played Richie, now that's the 'modern romance'... Need to get that on a biscuit tin
  10. Like them old tins of Scottish shortbread, looks so romantic. The reality is much different. How would you fancy keeping those old bones warm in there, in January Charts...
  11. And I, as an Evertonian, wonder that if he never got into his car in the first place, ignoring the thousands marching against his way out, and when it wasn't going his way, took to trying to 'force' his way through. To be met by disgruntled 'pedestrians' who he tried to barge, with his vehicle. Who then lashed out, because they could of gotten hurt, women, children... Really, in that moment, with a driver using a vehicle to force his way through... Would you just let that happen, clip your wife, child, friend, without retribution... I'd very much doubt it. Sure, it was a contributin
  12. Looking at McHull's comments, I'd say it's him that's thrown his toys out, it's very personal and very heartbreaking, I'm crushed... Thing is Gunter, most of those on here enjoy 'talking' dogs, pro's and cons, and enjoy that about the site. Having just about every post anyone puts up, if it doesn't fit into his rhetoric, laughed at... It ruins almost every lurcher post and tends to put folk on the defensive. I'd agree with your thoughts on 'general talk' but who wants to talk dogs when you are just bombarded with his bullshit. We all enjoy a laugh, but FFS keep it in context. Pe
  13. Yep, used to spend a bit of time in Bexleyheath & Erith in the 90's. Used to walk down an average suburban road at night and squeak. Wasn't uncommon to have five or six foxes come out and follow. Ran them in Shooters Hill, Slade Green and loads of park spaces round there. Danson Park wasn't even worth a squeak, just walk and lamp the bins, they were like rats...
  14. Old Bexley is full of em, so are most of the South London fringes.
  15. You were never leaving anything alone... You said that 4/5 pages back... Thing is, you just want to argue, no rhyme, no reason. You've spent your whole time on THL slagging of bull blooded dogs, years now. You didn't believe any could do anything but hole end. But as soon as you see that they are much more than a one trick pony, you move the goalposts, now you want to see a dog that can do it now. See, if you had read my whole post properly, which i'm not sure you are capable of, you would have seen that I put that nobody in their right mind would put such stuff up on here to pr
  16. There you go... That dog could put in 4 or 5 nights back then, easy. Running anything I put infront of it, and believe me, i put a lot infront of it. With wind enough to run all night. It could work holes next to terriers or ferrets, and dare I say it take the odd hare daytime (a couple on Altcar estate) I was never afraid to give it a slip. Now that line is not the same as the stuff Downsouth and Co. are talking about, but there gear was just as capable, maybe even more so... His stuff still exists, my mate has two, but no one in their right mind is going to put anything recent up o
  17. In choosing a pup from any decent litter, that's exactly the right way to choose. Get it home, do your very best by it, and pay no interest in any of the littermates, no matter who's got one. Though shalt not covert, thy neibours puppy....
  18. No, but i did get one off Ron Pickering...

    Yep, Terry Turbo...

    Pet hates.

Terry Stone plays Tucker. That wig is shocking, nearly as bad as his character portrayal... Stone 'used' to be a rave promoter back in the day, a mate of Dave Courtney's I believe.
  21. I assure you, nobody has spoken to me about you or this thread
  22. Love that a line can be traced back so far, and almost always it's because of a dedicated few that tested them to the max. All lines of working dogs will bite the dust if the animals aren't good enough, lurchers or terriers. I'm sure there was a thread about Floyd on here a few years back. Was Romeo of the same blood that Frank added, and if not, what made him your choice? Thanks
