  2. Well today went well the hounds hunted well in the first cover and soon enough they were marking a dug out rabbit hole so my lad was collared up and in he went in and for a while we heard nothing then all of a sudden a big rumble and the huntsman looked at me and goes he's met his opponent so we got a mark of 2 metre so I could hear him banging away and mixing it up and after about 10-15 minutes of us letting him work his fox broke through to him after a very easy dig muzzle to muzzle with the fox to say I was delighted is an understatement I know I sound like a woman but its a very good fee
  3. she comes from just Jrt worker cross Jr worker from the terrier man of the kileady hunt but she was the runt I use her the whole time for ferreting would love to get underground as she was bred to bed I'm afraid she's too small
  4. All seen I've been following the local hunt as I have to bring my sister as she rides in it and lately I've started bringing my jrt as I had started helping the terrier men with the digging and what not and the penny really dropped with him last week and he showing real interest when one of the terrier mes terrier was working his fox so just got a text of him to make sure \I bring my lad tomorrow and we'll get him in to see has he got it to say I cant wait is a bit of an understatement so hopefully he wont disappoint here is a pic of him his father was an earthdog and his mother was a ferret

  22. Good write up ...its good to be out
  23. I think The hunting is in us all all of our ancestors did ..there is a sense of achievement when your catching your dinner fresh and also doing good job of protecting the farmers crop which feeds the population there are kind of unofficial ethics to ferreting locators digging down dispatch fast backfill well..You said a bout banning or unbanning I presume you mean in the uk fox hunting with hounds is it moral to me it is a s the fox nearly always gets away and if he is caught is dead in seconds so i believe it should be unbanned it eliminates the weakest foxes
  24. mine was very good but recently its draining battery rapidly making all sorts of stupid noises when im scanning the sett in locate and search and reading is off with one of my collars but with the other is bang on but it even takes it a while to get a reading ..il try and get a video up of it at some stsge
