Believe me its not unconscious bias. I'm sure you are very important and have done well for yourself after a dodgy start in life. Well done, genuinely. But your description of your 'superiors' did make me feel a tad squirmy. But do me a favour. Pass a message from me to those 4 officers. Tell them I think they are probably complete arseholes. I think bitterness is a description of many of the posts on here. Biterness about immigration, loss of identity, in your face corruption and lack of respect given to us as British citizens. Imo its perfectly reasonable to feel bitter about modern Britain. Imo, people are trained in this country to defend the status quo. So those in power don't have to work hard at all to keep things as they are. Union leader Bob Crow used to be given dog's abuse for living in a council house. I wouldn't trust the paedo Prince with any decision, much less a decision involving lives. The officer class in the UK is chosen from a particular group of rich posh people. Often land owners. Sandhurst is their finishing school. They are completely out of touch with normal everyday life. They may recruit a few token blacks and proles these days just to cover themselves. Officers should be chosen on merit not on background. But the UK is riven with class and we still touch our forelocks and curtsy to them. Just a moment... HANSARD.PARLIAMENT.UK These figures would need to multiplied by 4 to reflect inflation. Seems an insult and a pittance to me. I also cannot, for the life of me, understand why there is such a massive financial discrepancy between an officer's life and and an ordinary squaddie. They both died in the same campaign yet, apparently, one life is worth much more than another.

255 UK soldiers died. 777 injured. Its an insult to those lads that we ever went to war over absolutely nothing. Not one Falkland islander was harmed by the argies and the majority of the islanders do not identify as British in any case. Although they are happy to be defended by the UK. OK our lads are hard as f**k and there's no better soldiers in the world. Believe that if you want. It was still a calculated and successful attempt to win an election by an evil calculating woman. We should be mourning the senseless deaths of the dead and maimed not fooling ourselves into thinking how fantastic we are as warriors. All troops say that of whatever nation. When the Falklands war started ,there was paper talk about introducing conscription. I would definitely have refused to serve. To possibly lose your life because some 19 year old Argie conscripts were instructed to erect an Argentinian flag on a God forsaken sheep island God knows where...f**k that. The whole shitshow was text book political spin. The Argies were promised their island back by their leader, a jumped up military dictator. The argies were out in the streets celebrating as though an Argie flag, flying in the wind, on a poxy island, nobody had heard of, really mattered

You are putting words in my mouth there mate. I asked a question that's all. I also accept the Germany we see today would have been different from the one Hitler would have created. All I know is that the UK is the poor man of Europe....pay, health, education, pensions housing costs just do not compare with other developed countries. Personally I may not have thrived very well under Hitlers UK. One of my granny's was Jewish and my grandad was of gypsy traveller blood. Not a recipe for a long life under the fuhrer.

A member of my family was a WW2 widow with 5 kids. She received a pittance of a pension and was treated like absolute shit when she asked for additional social security. Coincidentally she had a hole in her roof courtesy of the luftwaffe during the Manchester and Salford blitz. I remember visiting her when I was 4 in 1954 , the whole street was a bomb site and the hole was still there. All the upstairs rooms and the stairs were ringing wet. She still had to pay rent ffs. Thanks a lot government and f**k you.

So nobody feels they have a stake in the country. Nobody thinks the country is worth fighting for. Everybody feels alienated from government and state. Most feel the government is the enemy not the solution. Interesting times ahead I think. But what's the alternative? Answers on a postcard.

Yeah, but Canelo was way out of his true weight class. He went up to light heavy because he'd demolished everybody in 3 weight divisions. Bierterbiev is anybodys nightmare. He just keeps coming whatever you throw at him. But, he's easy to hit. Should be a real fight for once.
