  1. Banter that's a bit Irish. You been at that poteen again? Kebabs originated in the middle east in countries like Turkey. 'Kebab' aint an indian word. This information delivered to you by Professor Jukel.
  2. I'm sure this forum is linked with the Jeremy Kyle show and /or a school for bitchy teenage girls.
  3. I've heard people say salukis are a nightmare to own, but others say they are just a dog, same as any other. If it's true that saluki blood would add obedience/recall problems, then sticking with greyhound blood would make more sense. I'd be interested in the views of those that are true saluki devotees.
  4. All the main lurcher types depend on greyhound blood. Maybe this is because greyhound bitches and dogs are easily available. But now that good saluki blood is becoming available, do you think more breeders should experiment with collie/saluki, bull/saluki, beddie/saluki, deerhound /saluki etc. I have no experience with salukis at all, but the best ones I've seen on video put a coursing greyhound to shame. They run in a far more relaxed, almost thoughtful way. I'm told they can lighten the frame of lurchers better than a greyhound too. So that, for example there would be less cloddy pups prod
  5. Have to agree with lurcher 1. That video is grim. I don't think there's a dog that could course and hold a red stag. A rifle is the job for that.
  6. Put a photo of the dumped dog and its filed teeth up Josh
  7. What's wrong with dumping a dog? I do it all the time. Why feed them in the summer when there's no work for them? All you feckin do gooders make me sick taking dogs in and looking for brownie points. I'm fecxking sure I wouldn't pay twenty notes for a vet to put a dog down when there's so many gullible fecks like you taking dogs in. Arseholes. Only joking.
  8. How about a Hyena cross Jackal. There's a few of them on here.
  9. Personally I can put up with a dog that says feck it the odds are in the quarry's favour. That's not a problem for me. However I couldn't be assed with a dog that jacked even when the odds were decent on it catching. There's a big difference between the two in my opinion. However I'm sure the hyenas on here won't agree.
  10. If you'd had these wee guys before the ban , what sort of quarry do you think they would handle?
  11. i' he died 6yr ago Was it that long ago ? sheesh ! time flies unless your dead I'll stop counting when I am ! i wish thinking about this the other night and ive decided at my funeral i want, the clash "should i stay or should i go" on the way in and the jam "going underground" on the way out, mind you ive not made my mind up if going myself yet or not I'm having those two tracks plus the SexPistols 'God save the Queen'---'no future, no future for me!
  12. Type 'Skidboot' into Youtube, there's loads of videos of him. Pip, I think he could beat Pugsey, best of three.
  13. I thought at one point the film had been doctored because the dog at one point was absolutely frozen to the spot. But having looked at it a few times I think it's gen. I thought the dog was an australian cattle dog, but the blokes accents were american. What breed was it?
  14. Freelance I'm not looking for a fight, but that's not even a particularly clean arse. A good dogman always has a dog with a clean arsehole.
  15. Softness and house pets is not an issue, but I think obedience can suffer when dogs are kept in the house. Kennel dogs are completely focussed on their owner and are more likely to want to please him or her. House dogs have several 'distractions'. Radiators to lie against, cooking smells, children to play 'fetch' with or tug of war etc..Wives who spoil them with cuddles and stroking/ titbits when the dog has done nothing to deserve these rewards. As a result the owner can become less important a figure in the dog's mind and the bond between dog and owner can suffer. Or am I a nasty control
  16. I've got the tk41. Throws a lot of light, very useful. Not as tight a beam as my lightforce striker, but very handy.
  17. Cheers fella, comes in handy when Sock's imaginary stalker mate rings up. But with regards to your choice for the future, make ya fecking mind up! Folk may start to think your just a dreaming theorist
  18. i no dave speek regular and own one of his dogs he dunt do as mutch as he used to but does abit i defo no trev does a fair bit with his How many dogs does he have in his kennel mate?
  19. I sometimes think the reason this site is called THL is because the members hunt each other all night via their computer mouse. I wonder what the record number of posts is before the thread turns nasty/personal?
  20. He owns half a dozen. I would have half a dozen but I'm scared to death of my mrs . I'm not frightened of her but I am feckin petrified.
  21. When I spoke to him last he told me he works his deehounds regularly. He reckons the deerhounds are single handed. His new stud dog was single handed at 13 month old..He doesn't seem like a bullshitter to me. Different guys have said to me the deer/grey is improved dramatically by adding collie blood to the mix.I've often heard it said that deer/grey collie/ grey are the dogs bollox.
