They are also known as poison dart frogs but they are not poisonous when they are not in their jungle habitat. Think they acquire the poison from the jungle floor- or substrate as it is known.

Thanks for that. Springers have changed a lot in temperament due to selective breeding I guess. The first springer I had 50 odd years back was a real hard bugger. Didn't care about anything except flushing and then coursing game.?. All the springers I have come across in recent years have been a dream.....more interested in pleasing the trainer than than themselves. Cockers are still the same though. Evil little clowns interested only in themselves. Always challenging, amusing and infuriating. ? What dogs do you keep over in Frogland? Any of the native breeds any good?

William's comeback to,draw level has got to be one of the best fightbacks in Crucible history. Snooker was made for TV. I'd prefer to watch the different camera angles than be in the Crucible itself.

Trouble is when everything is controlled by AI, and drones and robots have taken over, how do the billions of little people get their money? The one thing we do well as a species is breed. But there will be very little need for workers or soldiers or any little people in the future. I forsee lots of hungry, discontented people, and the multi nationals sitting pretty whilst pulling the strings of corrupt politicians.

Thats commie talk. Shame on you.? Bumped into a friend. He's a dairy farmer..state of the art. Buys all the latest technology. He says he's getting good money for milk because there's a shortage of the stuff. Lots of small dairy farmers have been forced out, so its a sellers market for those left in the industry.

I've got a couple of 5 month Springer pups I'm doing a bit of basic training with. A friend of mine is ill, so I'm giving them some socialisation and confidence building. They've been kennelled from day one and know nothing. They are pathetically submissive. They both get crazily excited when visitors come and literally piss themselves. 'Glee pee' I think its called.Trust my evil minded Mrs to use them as weapons against visiting politicians looking for votes. Soon as she knows they are in the area she let's them out to greet our beloved political masters. The result is they end up with

The supermarkets,are a major cause of animal cruelty imo. Animals and birds are pushed to ever more limits to improve profitability.As soon as their efficiency drops below the required standard they are slaughtered. The average consumer doesn't think about welfare, they just look at price. Yet, often, they are the same people who give us stick for providing our own food via country sports. The hypocrisy is staggering. There is way more barbaric cruelty in intensive farming than there is in shooting, fishing or coursing. Try telling townies that though.

Lots of farmers round my way employ Polish, Lithuanians etc. They rent them static caravans which are sited on the farm. Probably pay them washers. Bad situation.

Love my banty hens with chicks in Spring. Ferocious little buggers. They are a good example of: "its not the size of the dog, but the size of the fight in the dog". My dogs have learned to give a banty with a clutch of chicks 5 yards clearance.
