  1. I think Haye did really well with the size of body he had. He could talk the talk as well which seems to be important these days. He was found out early in his career at cruiserweight though by Carl Thompson who said it was one of his easier fights. Haye was well beaten. His corner threw the towel in before he was knocked out.
  2. Yes, I've seen that. Grim but necessary. "Gad sir right and a left at german shepherds. Then a single collie ."Spiffing morning!"
  3. Id heard about wallabies in that area. Visited many times camping but never saw any. Don't think there has been any sightings for years. I think they suffered badly in those two bad winters we had around 2010. Did you course any?
  4. The tax man played a game with me. "Why do you think you are here"? "Have you anything to declare? etc etc" I refused to answer. Eventually he SHOWED me the record from the auction mart. I was relieved that that's all it was. On my second visit I was able to show receipts for grub, building materials and vet stuff and that was that. But I had to take time out for a transaction of around £120.
  5. Don't think brown faces go down well in the home counties.
  6. I remember when my kids were small I bought them an orphan lamb each. The next year they had lambs which we sold through auction. You have no idea the crap I had to undergo because HMRC reckoned we owed them. I was called in twice to their office and given the once over. 3centually they agreed we didn't owe them. But talk about picking on the wee fella.
  7. Wilf I'm going to write to HMRC and tell them you said what I owe them won't make any difference in the overall scheme of things. Do you reckon they'll let me off?
  8. I hope so. I was reading the Finns have a pretty good historical record against Russia too.
  9. Had a whippet which pounced on field voles regularly. Would down them in a oner like they were a delicacy.
  10. Here's someone who sets an example. He's a trained accountant too. Chelsea's N’Golo Kante will pay more tax than Amazon - Mirror Online WWW.MIRROR.CO.UK The star Chelsea midfielder recently put pen to paper on a £15m deal that will see him pay £564,000 a month in income tax
  11. CP, I'm not sure about your last point. people forget very quickly. Why would anybody want to be a politician ? Because there's something about power and influence which intoxicates them. Anybody who wants to stand as a politician should immediately be excluded.
  12. It's the principle Wilf. As CP says "Tax is a very necessary obligation". Who knows maybe her may herself might be persuaded to stop hiding her wealth away in foreign tax havens. I wait with baited breath.
  13. Finland and Sweden are making noises about joining NATO. Oh f**k. This could escalate.
  14. Well, Mrs Sunak has decided she will pay the tax after all and declare herself resident in the UK. It's reckoned Johnston and his aides found out about the Sunaks tax arrangements and released the story. They are scared Sunak will challenge for the premiership. It is certainly strange the story emerged on the very week workers have to cough up more tax via National Insurance contributions. It's thought she has avoided £20 million in total. Will her tax bill be backdated or will she just pay this year's? Think it might be the latter.
  15. Yew lot think you're funny. But Paul was left ashen faced when his willowy woman boxed him in. He thought he would give her a leg up in the world and cocked his leg over her under the mistletoe. Soon as his signature was on the oak parchment, she turned very prickly pear. Imagine!
  16. The greatest! I've had more pleasure watching him than any other sportsman or entertainer without a doubt. I don't agree his greatest fight was against Foreman. His trilogy with Frasier are the fights which make the hair on the back of my neck stand up. They were fighting for supremacy and pride. Sportsmen at the top of their game. Those fights will still be played hundreds of years from now.
  17. I would suggest the first thing we do is disqualify anybody who desperately wants to become an mp. There's something dodgy about these people. Mps should be co_ opted. We might then get people we can trust.
  18. So as CP says, laws have been made by the rich, the powerful and the influential which favour themselves. As Wilf says a single mother who swindles a few quid is crucified. Where do we go from here? How do we get laws that reflect the majority view of what fairness is? Democracy ain't working.
  19. Wilf, you know me better than that. Its only the hypocrites and corrupt I have a go at. You cant just ignore people like the Sunaks. Otherwise they take even more liberties. They hate bad publicity, so let's give them plenty of it.
  20. The 'worst of peoples nature? Come on, the Sunaks are demonstrating that not me.
  21. Its about principles and dare I say it morality. He's a crook, she's a crook, and most of the other 650 are too. We could build hospitals and schools with the money the Sunak's avoid each year. I don't know how you can defend such blatant corruption.
