  1. Cheers guys. Cash in hand for a chippy seems the way to go. You're right about the rabbit hutches... most you see advertised are shite.
  2. Has anyone thought of these... http://sunnycamglasses.com/
  3. I'm possibly in the market for some new hutches. I know the response will be 'make them yourself' but I've got so much on at the moment I would prefer to pay someone else to do it! If anyone knows of any for sale within an hour of Monmouth, South Wales please let me know.
  4. Hi, can anyone suggest a good spot for mackerel fishing from the shore? I live on the Monmouthshire/Herefordshire border, so I can access most of the South Wales coast in a couple of hours. All suggestions gratefully received.
  5. Improved a little... now holding the forks upright, right hand fork on target but I find all my shots are to the right. I have to aim to the left to get on target I then had a disaster... How do I fix this guy's..? I'm addicted and need to get back at it ASAP!
  6. Still struggling...! I'm right eye dominant but I shoot with the catapult in my right hand as that is most comfortable for me. My natural stance makes me hold the catapult at a forty five degree angle, rather than upright or fully side on. I think I need to change this as I often hit the right hand fork and I need to aim significantly below the target to get anywhere near it. I feel like I'm aiming miles off the target. Thoughts and suggestions please guys.
  7. Cheers guys. I'll take your advice and report back soon.
  8. Hi, I've bought a cracking catapult from Longers7, a truly beautiful bit of kit. However, I could do with working out how best to aim and shoot it! I've had a browse on YouTube but seen nothing that really helps. Any advice, or direction to suitable video clips, would be very welcome. Thanks in advance.
  9. I'm in this predicament now. I've a reasonable bitch who is seven years old and a two year old that isn't quite of the standard I would like. So... I collected a pup yesterday in the hope it will make the standard I want. If a good pet home comes along for my dog then I'll let him go, if not he's here for life.
  10. I like the look of that mate. My catty arrived today, I'll give it a try tomorrow and let you know how I get on.
  11. Hi, If anyone has a top class hob within reasonable distance of Monmouth please let me know. My best Jill is in season at long last and I'm keen to take a litter from her. Thanks, Gavin
  12. Cracking looking pups WM. I will try to put up some new pics of my bitch later. I'm pleased with her so far. I noticed you feeding your pups rabbit...is this something you do often? I've fed my bitch some rabbit in recent weeks and she loves it. I am a little concerned that any rabbit she nails in cover she will sit down and eat!
  13. Trying to send you a pm Newkid but I think your inbox is full...
  14. I know the litter sister to Socks' bitch quite well and she's a similar stamp. My mate that owns her lined her with a saluki based coursing hybrid. The pups are belters. He's not advertised the three bitches, just run them on. He will sell one at some stage and having seen them often whoever buys one should be delighted.
  15. Would you believe it... This Jill is now coming into season! If anyone has a top class hob within an hour of Monmouth please let me know. This is the best ferret I've had in 28 years so I'll definitely have a litter from her.
  16. You don't know what you're missing Jim... can't beat grilled brown trout fillets.
  17. Sounds great, would love to see some recent photos.
  18. Interesting thread guys. Wuyang... are you the guy with the spaniel x greyhound? If so, how's it coming on?
  19. Sounds good Vin. It's a great opportunity for a dog to see a number of rabbits and have a chance of catching them... a change to ferreting under blackthorn hedges!
  20. What sort of bag are you expecting Vin?
  21. You could be right there mate...!
  22. Having never owned a terrier before i finally decided that I had to have one! This little bitch will hopefully be an 'all rounder' of sorts... fingers crossed she makes the grade. URL=http://s286.photobucket.com/user/GavinSinkowski/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20140527_131045-1.jpg.html][/url] She is three quarters Plummer, one quarter Russell. She's bred right out of good stuff, so hopefully the ingredients are there. As yet she doesn't have a name, all suggestions welcomed!
