  4. I USED to think the same as you Bob,...in fact,.I once sold sheet netting for long nets,...mostly 4z and 6z,..and when this is 'doubled up',....it catches the rabbits well enough.....BUT,... ..when I changed over to 'spun nylon' and similar twines, it was impossible to get the material in sheet netting form, thus, it had to be hand knotted. Luckily,.I found some skillful enthusiasts who kindly made beautiful long nets designed to my own specifications,...These nets were far more comfortable to work with, and I'll never return to the nylon Z's... Anyway,..it is entirely a personal choice, and
  5. I've seen a big dog fox that was at least 20", made my whippet look small anyway and this was in summer so it wasn't a fluffy coat making him look bigger. His vixen was a little old bugger with worn down teeth and his kids didn't like the taste of lead  . Apparently there was one quite a bit bigger knocking around here a few years ago too but i never seen it. Good luck catching him, gnipper

  8. Cracking looking ferret, how big is it, only looks small? Gnipper
  9. Mines about 18 1/2 i think out of sooty sam lines and is tiny compared to most of the line. She is game enough to tackle anything but isn't the best runner and is slightly deranged to say the least Good luck with yours Gnipper
  10. Your better off with the Pedretti too and not the Baikal. The Baikal has a fore end then the silencer and feels about 6ft long.

  17. No problems if you provide them with leather collars for their potential suitor to chew on and plenty of lube
  18. Dan which type is it? I had a Falcon fn19 raptor with a skeleton stock and shot feckin loads with it. It was my first pre-charged and I loved it but then I got my s410 and couldn't use it anymore, the trigger felt horrible and the twang gets right on my tits . If you haven't used another precharged before and only springers you'll love it and the accuracy will probably amaze you. Try it with accupells Gnipper
  19. Good on ya Fastdogz I wouldn't have bothered myself coz their ugly as sin and the ferrets are always peckish Gnipper
  20. When I was up in Glasgow the other month for a funeral I was chatting (trying to understand ) a bloke outside while I was having a fag and he was telling me how the breweries are down and all the old working mens clubs etc where part of the profits was given to all the needy oap's for stuff like wheelchairs etc couldn't do it as much so the oldies were missing out too. I might pack it in, might not, i'd rather stand outside half the time and at least i'd have the landlord and 3/4 of the vaults to talk to Smoking in the workplace does that apply in the middle of a field Gnipper
  21. I've got one jill here that is a smallish type and is hyperactive as fook. Never ever sits still but she is in proportion and not scrawny. I've also got a lean normal sized jill who has always been well fed but I wouldn't class either of them as Greyhounds. I might be aquiring some this summer though Gnipper
  22. Maybe for insect eating birds mate like blackys, robins etc but i think seed eaters like pigeons are different.
  23. You could just give him some cereal like weetabix or anything really to get him through the night till tomorrow. Given where you found him he was probably fed to that size on kebab and chips by his parents
  24. I think one of the Bezzant clowns managed to train one to trench on through a burrow to find a rabbit kill
