  1. Yours will be 4month old at the start of september so will be ready to start doing a bit by then, if not by mid/end september. Good luck with your search anyway and good on you for giving a rescue a home
  2. I'm only after one for the bunnies, the chicken backs and lamb etc I can fit in the freezer but rabbit is a pain in the arse, ever had it when one moves in the freezer and its frozen solid leg is jammed against the shelf above stopping you from opening it How small do you have to chop them to get them in the mincer?
  3. Your kits will be ready by then, how old are they now?
  4. Hurry up and throw a load of bunnies through your hand one mate, if it doesn't break I might buy one
  5. I use the last drop from the dogs on the neck tubes of frontline on one ferret from each cage, they all sleep in the same box and it seems to do the job.
  6. Theres nowt i cant do with these nails But wipeing yer arse gets messy
  7. I saw mine attack a woody that i'd shot with the air rifle which fell near him and spooked him which he made a mess of, ignores the pheasants and partridges though. Also had a hen kill a big rat that tried to nick eggs.
  8. The ex's dad has a couple like that that i gave him, daft as a brush
  9. I've had ferret kits eat one of their siblings in the past for the fun of it it seemed as they had a rabbit in there
  10. It all depends on how that individual hob is with the kits, mine is in with a jill and her litter and hasn't touched one yet, they are about 3 weeks now
  11. I'll have a bet on his siblings
  12. 3 hobs and 4 jills +1 hob and 6 jills =114 hobs and 89 jills
  13. 39 without a call bird you must have serious amounts of daft maggies round yours, what you using for bait?
  14. Basically its a glorified pheasant so I reckon a pheasant catcher with a bigger funnel would do the job. That or throw his grub in a pen that you can close with a string or use the method I used for catching some bantams of mine,,,,,,, a whippet
  15. GYPSEY BRED ....... DONT MAKE ME LAUGH MATE ............... STOLLEN ....... DEFINATELY AFRAID , OPEN FORUMS AINT THE PLACE TO TALK GAMEFOWL , THEIVES .......... AND OTHERS THAT WILL GIVE YOU HASSLE ....... BE CAREFUL FELLAS DUCKWING He's not nicked mate, bred on site and they have a fair few there too. 17. Anyone on here got any decent pictures of their Game? I'm looking at getting a few, got a big mean Gypsy bred one, 2 rescued youngsters of pedigree unknown (cock and hen) and i've hatched out 2 Shamo's off ebay that are coming on well and I think are m+f, cocky little b*****ds already . I'll try and get some pictures this week, Gnipper
  18. I've never really gone off age personally as they sometimes develop at different rates. I will let them go as soon as they are properly mobile (a nuisance ) and are using a water bottle and eating dry complete and flesh with gusto. Gnipper
  19. my jill as nine I used to have one with 9, probably do now but never checked
  20. Quercus or Fagus Covert
  21. Ejectors? Chokes? Barrel length? Price Etc Etc.......

  23. Theres plenty of lads round your way who go out with the terriers mate see if you can get an invite, he probably will mark in a way without having caught one but not as keen as if he'd had a few. Find your nearest tip or mcdonalds drive through and have a walk about dusk time there should be some knocking about.
  24. I always find hobs get a bit too good at catching the rabbits meself and their strong enough to easily drag them off when you break into the tube. Some i've had have been alright at bolting though, probably depends on the hob or strain though.
