The back feet don't tend to get that bad mate and I use human nail clippers too held on the side. Hold the ferret tight in my left and snip with the right. They normally struggle for a couple of nails then relax, then wriggle like feck again when they know you've relaxed your grip and aren't expecting it

I'll have a go when i get home mate, basically an average hob though not dark or light coloured just normal poley, he's quite long/lean build unlike my silver who i can't get my hand round. Normal sized too.

Got a polecat hob to rehome here, bred by my father in law but out of my ferrets. He's pretty much full grown i'd say and well ready to go out. Free to good home, pm if interested Gnipper

Mike how is Domino doing? I've got 2 hobs now, 1 big strong silver killing machine and one albino hob who is the size of a jill so mine will definitely be getting seperated next summer, i've seen evenly matched hobs bumming eachother and fighting like mad and the little feller is being nobodys bitch at my house I've seen it in dogs too where the un castrated one is giving the castrated one a seeing too as they probably give off a confusing scent? I'd get all or non neutered personally. Gnipper

I'm presuming that you feed dry food Artemis? If so and not rabbit etc then carcase bait might not work if they aren't used to it. I'm sure you will find out what their favourite treats are for just in case they ever do need trapping. I wouldn't try it on them though or let them get accustomed to it, if they know they get stuck in it they'll probably avoid it and if they are used to it their inquisitiveness might not help you catch them.
