  1. I was about to suggest a whippet, if you are thinking about a whippet PM me Gnipper
  2. Would a whippet sized bitch be able to have pups off a bullxgrey easily???
  3. Get a nice fluffy bull dog, my mates dogs deter me from going through the gate and knocking on the door never mind going through the fecker
  4. My hobs balls are still by his knees but he's in with two jills and the only pestering he's doing is for them to play with him the big daft sod
  5. Yup its missing batteries, i'm not too sure what type it is though so I can't reccomend which bateries. Does the wheel go to 8ft or 15? Its either a micro or 15ft I think.
  6. I had it a few years ago where the kits ate one of their brothers well just half of his head in a perfectly straight line down the middle and they had cleaned out his skull the dirty little sods, it was the one I wanted to keep too. gnipper
  7. Its fair enough keeping a cripple that you've bred but selling one??? My mate has a hob with a back foot missing from the nest and apparently he's a cracking worker, myself though i'd have culled them
  8. I've still not received it mate
  9. Its not come through mate, tried refreshing etc. I'll give it 5 mins if not try again or give us a ring. Cheers, gnipper
  10. Did you get my PM's mate? Let me know either way if you want them or not, Cheers, gnipper
  11. If you need to try her then do so, how would she have fed her kits if she was feral or a wild poley I doubt that she will work as well as the winter though as having kits changes their mentality imo but you will only know by trying her.
  12. I've always kept mine in hutches, my present main hutch is 6ft by 2 by 4 with two tiers which i seperate into two cages for the summer and I have another cage which is about 3 1/2ft long with two levels which I use for my hob or as solitary when someone is i'll or being naughty . I'd prefer a big aviary type cage but can see disadvantages like always needing to keep seperate hutches for hobs or fighters, lack of space being my main problem with getting one.
  13. If its only to fill them up for a couple of days while you get some bunnies then it doesn't really matter too much, i've given mine chicken backs with no problems along with the leftovers from a roast, dog biscuit, cat biscuit, tinned food and ferret biscuit, basically anything meaty. There is always days where you can't feed full carcase, I can get out and catch something most days but not every day. I remember someone who is really against dry feeding feeding nothing but chicken wings which imo is wrong, in all the time i've kept ferrets i've been told and believe that ferrets do best on fur
  14. Has anyone got a close up picture of the door mechanism and how it works? Also would they work with a sack or something on them instead of wire so they would be easier to carry etc? Just out of interest really, I think they would be a pain for me coz if this hob of mine got in there with a few rabits i'd probably have to leave him to it coz he'd be a tad too excited making a blood bath to be picked up Cheers, gnipper
  15. I got mine brand new for £8 a few year ago from a car boot, its a bulldog with a red plasticky handle and has lasted a fair bit of digging and getting used as an axe , the car boots round here always have big tool stalls on which are worth a try. Gnipper
  16. Most of the burrows on my ground are empty by the time the season arrives even though their full all summer and your lucky if theres more than 2 most of the time . I've had about 7 though whe i've been on the town centre golf course, 3 of them out of a stop end. This year on new ground will be different though Gnipper
  17. I try and stop at the 10 mark but this year will be different as i'll be giving my mate a lift on some heaving ground where they want them gone. Also i've got a mincer now to fit them in the freezer better so won't be wasting any
  18. I've got lovely soft peat in the majority of my places so digging should be a doddle but the b*****ds always lay up under roots or scrap or under the only patch of clay you can find I normally get 3-4footers but have been deeper on several occasions, 6fts my limit though i'd rather sit and wait after that Gnipper
  19. Thats a poor do that mate I hope they went easy on you in the showers
  20. Mine has finally turned up today after a load of feckin mider and i'm itching to use it, its pissing it down though and i've no rabbits in. Getting paid to do some garden bunnies tomorrow so they can be its trial run Which plate are you all using in it for the bunnies, big or small? Cheers, gnipper
  21. Gutted mate Its also fecking weird for them to eat them at 5 weeks, less than 1 maybe but not that age Gnipper
