    I've always heard of people bolting foxes but never done it myself, my mate had it happen a few times down south. Never bolted a cat either but my mates hob killed a half grown one last week.

    Was the rabbit definitely not there? Seems strange for a jill to stay in one spot for nothing? I've had digs in the past where you break in and no rabbit but a bit more scraping about you spot a bit of fluff and bingo. They can be bloody hard to spot sometimes.

    I get mine used to the collars when their kits, saves a load of feckin about when they start their careers.

    Put them on so that you just about struggle to get the pin in the hole and they should'nt come off, I had a 4ft dig to one before I started doing this. If the ferret isn't choking or looking in distress its not too tight. Got a small jill here that fits the smallest hole on the collar and could probably go one further.

    I've not noticed any wild birds nesting but i've got a pair of canary laying and another feeding a chick, never kept them before until a few months ago so the nest building took me by surprise. My mate who's had em a few years said you won't get them to breed in a cage too

    What bedding would you recommend for a dog that rips its bedding to bits, will still be warm and won't get all over the place? This whippet of mine can trash a duvet in about an hour.

    Dya mean a hole inbetween holes or an extra one on the end? I've got a small jill that the very last hole on the mk3 collar fits and could probably do with being a bit tighter. I think the collars would be better in velcro or some other way of fastening where it is fully adjustable and not just to fixed points.

    Lovely little birds that follow us round work while were digging trees up and I often chuck em worms but feck me they drive me mad when i'm ferreting, waiting for a bolt in a hedge and theres three of them flitting about up and down the rabbit runs and around the stop nets
