Even without trap 2 in action??? Good girl
  6. The lovely smells like fresh cut grass, rain on bone dry soil, ratting round a filthy broiler cabin or being downwind of a muck spreader and my personal favourite whippet thats rolled in fox shit or a rotten carcase
  7. If you put a 3-4 inch strip of wood across the bottom of the cage and the hinge it off that it should be ok. Another good tip is if you tie a piece of string to the top of the door and the top of the cage at just the right length so when the doors open it stays at 90 degrees will save a bit of wear on the hinges. If you go and meet the lad just remember trap2 is out of the equasion
  10. Sounds a bit of a ball ache compared to a good sized wire cage with a door for emptying it and a funnel for letting the dumb birds walk into it when you have thrown some corn in. I had about 30 in one once.
  11. Nice one, now lets have a general tunnel trapping thread with all your little tips and tricks on it Gnipper
  12. I'll try and find out then mate, i'm only after mk4's really as trapping rabbits doesn't interest me and thankfully we've no mink round here so smaller tunnels and lighter traps are better for me. Just wanna knock a few stoats, weasels and rats off around work thats all. Cheers, Gnipper
  13. Are these the Springer type or another version? http://www.solwayfeeders.com/ProductsDetai...STOCK_CODE=1905 also has anyone tried them? Cheers, gnipper

    New pet

Snakes, mantids, tarantulas, stick insects, geckos, amphibians, fish(cold & tropical), rabbits, hamsters, rats, mice, gerbils, guinea pigs and probably pretty much owt else you can think of for a bit
  15. Anyone know wheres the cheapest place for MK4's? I found some for £6.95 which is about £2 cheaper than our nearest gun shop and the postage is about £3 for three, not sure if its more for more traps. Cheers, Gnipper
  16. You can't give a pup too much good stuff can you? You want them fattish don't you not lean. I would have loved it if my whippet would have ate that much when she wasa pup but she has always been a picky bitch and lean, now she's on nothing but raw meat and bones she isn't as bad. Gnipper
  17. It should be the opposite way round if your gonna feed biscuit at all as there will be less flies in the summer. Which old wife told you not to feed rabbits while they are working?

    pellets

Every ferret ive had picks air rifle pellets and probably most of the shotty pellets out, always find them when i'm cleaning them out and you can hear it when the metal dustpan scrapes on them. Sometimes the pellets are untouched and other times you can see where the stinkers chewed it and spat it out. I've seen a Rtty eat a pan of stew and pick out all the peas so theres no reason why a ferret with a smaller mouth can't differenciate between meat and metal. No one else find this? Gnipper
  19. Feck knows how it got to it the little sod but one of my layers decided to peck one of my mk 4's this morning , she must have moved the sticks and really stretched her neck. They are now in underground tunnels Gnipper
  20. I tried getting hold of a copy once after reading a mates when i was a kid and the only thing I could find on the net was how much of a naughty boy he'd been with his chickens The welsh terrier cross in it looks smart
  21. As far as i'm aware you can only shoot a dog if its got into an enclosure with your stock ie through a fence, pretty sure thats what i got told at college anyway.
  22. I wouldn't pick a bambi up in case it had been chemically euthanised, heard of it a couple of times on these boards where the vet had left it there.
  23. If you throw a poley and a BEW together mate I reckon you'll get mainly poley kits. I have done silver to silver and BEW to silver and got mainly poley kits. The silvers from the bew to silver mating gradually became bews though with their markings fading. If you wanna try a silver and drive to Lpool area you can try mine. so if u put a silver hob across a polie what do u get More than likely poleys mate unless the poley had a silver or albino parent or something and you get lucky and get a couple of silver kits. Thats just going off what ive personally seen and seen on here etc t
  24. Each to their own innit, I personally prefer silvers and whites but now and again i'll see an eye catching poley or sandy that i like. My best jill at the moment is a sandy (the eye eater ) and i'm getting a poley hob soon. Maybe so but I wouldn't shag Dawn French just coz she's got a pussy, whats wrong with having stock you like the look of? I do prefer light ferrets for working in brambles etc and my mad whippet sometimes takes a lunge towards my sandy jill when shes exiting a hole and realises halfway there that its a stinker but its each to their own isn't it. You don't ac
