  1. I'm using wire fig 4 tealers at the mo and wooden pegs to hold em but has anyone ever tried a galvanised peg of some sort? I was thinking if it was 9 or 10 inch long with a loop twisted into the top for the twine it should hold with the rabbits pulling it sideways and not upwards??? Might not push into hard ground too well though nut then maybe a converted decent quality tent peg might work? Cheers in advance, Gnipper

    FRED DIBNAH.

They don't make em like 'im anymore, legend. I've got his autobiography here my mum bought me and the lad who he nearly drowned in a boat made of wheels and a tarpaulin was doing a spraying course at our work last year and he could tell some tales about Fred.
  3. Feed them biscuits for a day and I bet you'll see them at the bottle. Don't worry about it mate they soon learn, i've seen wild baby rabbits learn to use a bottle without a parent to show them.
  4. Don't tell me, you've got one of those bloody stupid auto feed screwdrivers that jams all the time! no just a cordless, not so bad doing walls but ceiling are a pain, i was gonna look for a autofeed but if there pants too The auto feed I used to use wasn't too bad, bit easier than rooting around in yer pocket for a screw while you've got a 8x4 on your head.
  5. Buy Woodgas DVD mate and all your questions will be answered. Good pointers on there for making and setting fence and peg wires.
  6. I'm saying nowt about mine coz she'd kick my arse
  7. Bad news that mate but i'd imagine it happens with any breed as it does with any creature. I've heard of rabbits dropping dead from a heart attack while being chased.
  8. Feed him lamb ribs or something a couple of times a week and i bet you'll see a difference in his teeth.
  9. I can't wait to read my Biography, dimples! When Are ye going to write it ~ from ye encyclopaedic knowledge of my life and times? Only may I suggest ye run it past Me first? So I might correct ye chronology? I was There, sunshine And what, pray, is the difference between the rabbit and its habits of today and twenty years ago? That should make almost as enlightening a read as ye forthcoming book. Only, what we did " in the olden days " was catch rabbits. I fail to see why such methods as we used then should fail to work with todays rabbits. In fact, the only reason I see for you lot bei
  10. I'm on again tonight got the weekend off though. I wish someone would come down though coz its fecking boring
  11. So do free pegs from a hedge.
  12. Good luck with them mate, i'm having to sit watching the sheds over night at the mo coz some tw@ nicked about 6 shed fulls. Its not good working days and night at the same time especially when you aren't even the keeper, i'm knackered.
  13. Shame the dirty b*****ds can't be baited out, brag about a dog and then wire up its kennel to the mains or lie in wait or something. Its a shame the dogs are so good natured and they don't rip chunks out of the tw@s, I wouldn't advise picking my terrier up the little c**t'd ave ya
  14. Get one mate it'll save you hours of time and loads of missed rabbits that you wouldn't know about. I got 8 from a stop end the other week. Your ferret might not be one for coming away either so you'll waste a full day near enough waiting. You might get some high and mighty old dinosaurs dismissing their use but what they did in the olden days and now 20 years on since they last ferreted a rabbit are a world apart, locators are as essential in ferret work as terrier work.
  15. I got 32 on my new permission last monday which is as you say like a bowling green. 28 out of a ten hole burrow in the middle of a paddock with 8 out of a stop end . The ferrets minds were on other things though.
  16. Where abouts are you scouse? I'm sure someone on here could show you the ropes.
  17. Macnab highlander 12 bore with colour case hardening or whatever you call it, I could shoot with that gun.

  19. 'This area' being? I'm getting too many at the moment but unfortunately they have got to be killed. You could have some if you weren't too far away.
  20. If theres anyone round the preston area after some really good and cheap chicken carcases give me a pm and i'll send you the number, I got 60 kilo last week not knowing how much that amounted too and struggled to get rid. The box is about 6 kilo for a quid.
  21. The dog isn't going to be there as much as the vixen and cubs are, just think how many opportunities you would miss waiting for the dog who could have fecked off or been hit by a car weeks before. Do the vixen then the cubs won't be moved and then do the cubs. If the dog is a pest too sit and wait for him or trap him.
  22. It takes ages to read some threads when someone has quoted the whole thread practically rather than just scrolled down a bit further to the 'add reply' button. Kay wasn't the only one confused by your post mate and I don't think she was having a go, chill out.
  23. Oh and the jill poleys who's areas his territory would cover, most hobs go a bit daft when there nuts are controlling their brain but I would imagine a wild one is more so.
